For anyone creating #fanfics of any media, what do you do if you want to write in a music scene?? With lyrics and all? Do you try to avoid it or if you do put them in, how do you accurately convey what is happening within the sequence in a written format? #writing #writers #fanfic #fanfiction

Thank you!! I’m not sure what that is, but I think it’s the shading? I just use the soft brush tool and cut off some of it to look like it’s following a line for the clothing 🩷 I hope that’s what you’re asking haha

I hope you all enjoy! This will be the last redesigns for this AU for a little bit, since I want to go back and start working on the actual story! I’ll keep you all updated with more art and such from this AU as time goes on. Thanks for the support 🥰🩷✨ 4/4

She and Steven know eachother at the beginning of this AU, but don’t engage much. Mrs. Maheswaran doesn’t really want Connie to be around the gems outside of the simulation parts of the ship in worry they can be a bad influence or dangerous. 3/4

I’ve decided to also make her a little older than Steven in this AU, being born only a year before him. And seeing the process of this, it’s what prompted Rose to make the decision to have Steven with Greg. 2/4

When we see Connie at the beginning of this AU she is going to be living like most humans are, in the simulation and happy to be so. But her interacting with Steven more will give her a lot more into going to other parts of the ship. Mrs. Maheswaran is practically one of the only Human doctors there

I do yes!! 💗 Im excited to design them soon~

The Crystal Starliner is essentially a massive mothership carrying smaller shuttles, fighters, and scouts. Its constant high speed travel makes certain safety systems impractical, so smaller ships rely on their own protective measures when leaving the Starliner.

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Please ask away! I love questions!! And yes they are spacesuits! They decided to wear these because they have to often times infiltrate gem worlds, so they need to look the part at a moments notice to ensure they can get in and out more safely.

I like to think in this AU, Greg met Rose when he was 18 or 19. And then in his mid 20's, Rose decided to have Steven. And so by the time we see them for the first time in this AU, Greg should be around his early 40s.

130

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

It was so much fun designing them! Roses hair was particularly difficult and tedious but I really love the result. I also really wanted Greg to be younger looking than in the canon when we first meet them, since I really like the idea of Greg being a young father.

Even through an emergency evacuation from Beach City before the Diamonds colonized successfully, they had some time to make a good faith effort in taking some animal species with them. Lions being one of them! And this was only made possible by the help of Roses Lion assisting with those plans.

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Since they aren’t isolated on Earth, the Crystal Gems actively infiltrate planets and facilities to rescue off-colors and liberate other species. They must constantly blend in, go undercover, and escape unnoticed to keep their missions successful!

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I won’t share too much yet about Holly Blue, since I’m still fleshing out her story and purpose in the fic. However I can confirm that the other Rose Quartz will play a significant part of the story later on.

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I hadn’t heard of that game until you mentioned it! My AU focuses on life aboard the ship, helping planets and off-color Gems escape the Diamonds. I was inspired by Lars of the Stars, but since I’m not a huge Lars fan, I thought, what if Steven and the Crystal Gems were out there instead?

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

He is alive and well! He is also aboard the ship helping raise Steven.

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

(Potential translation: Approximately how many crew members does the ship have? (This takes into account those rescued along the way over time.) I would say it’s in the thousands, with many different units, colonies and even neighborhoods within the ship.

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

1. I dont think I'll include the cluster in this AU since earth was colonized. 2. They will be there! I just haven’t designed them yet. 3. The Crystal Starliner is formerly the Human Zoo ship. 4. I'd like to make comics of some of the greater scenes, but I will mostly be making it a fic on AO3.

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Pink Diamond and Rose Quartz are the same person in this AU. However, at the beginning, there is only one character who knows this to be the truth.

020

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I don’t want to spoil too much about what I have planned for Peridot, but I can say that at the beginning she will have her leg enhancers, and is nervous to ever lose them!

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Since they are visiting a lot more places we never saw in the canon that I will be adding, like many of the already colonized planets the diamonds oversee, and including many other facilities homeworld has, I will be adding a lot new characters as protagonists and antagonists!

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Pink Diamond is “shattered” in this AU and was one of the biggest reasons that the Diamonds went even harder in the war efforts to colonize earth.

010

✧ 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁𝓎 ✧ @lovinglypromise.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I can confirm all of these characters mentioned will be in the AU! I’m still working on their designs, but hope to reveal them sooner than later! I haven’t thought of any characters that will not be present yet that appeared in canon.
