been playing some LOTR War in the North with friends. it's fun in 3-player co-op! i was amused to recognize the voice of Eradan (Nolan North) as my Jedi Consular from SWTOR years ago!

i finished my first ever playthrough of Ocarina of Time! 🎮 it looked beautiful via Ship of Harkinian. i could definitely feel its influence on some of my personal favorite games from years later. shoutout to Biggoron

i got a new graphics card! on my Intel Arc A770, there were these bizarre artifacts all over (a documented issue with Arc) in Aragami 2. on my newly-installed GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, the game looks great!

i played #StarWars Dark Forces 2 🎮 #VideoGames i found it really fun and responsive-- i was especially impressed by how easy it was to use the original in-game controller mapping. i started out on DREAMM, but i had to switch to OpenJKDF2 to make the UI visible (which sadly disabled screenshots)

for my birthday this year, i spent a month playing through Pokemon HeartGold on my 3DS for the first time since i was a kid! it was fun being able to trade with my friends. i also paid attention to Natures and EV training for the first time ever lol 🎮

Instructions I wrote for myself, for installing Rune Classic using files from PCGamingWiki. Text:

1. Install Rune Classic
2. Extract the 1.11 patch into the system folder
3. Rename all .run files in Maps that have _CUT in the name. Extract the Extended Mod files into Maps and overwrite
4. Like Rune Gold, as of 2023 a custom renderer is now REQUIRED for the game to work AT ALL. Extract the DX11 Renderer files to system and edit Rune.ini to use D3D11Drv.D3D11RenderDevice
5. Install the OpenAL audio fix so the game doesn't crash later on
