What if there was a new public high school in Karori? Possibly co-ed and bi-lingual. The closest public high schools are WGC, Eastside, High and Col. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke

Imagine an indoor skinfield on Tawa hills. The only indoor ski field in NZ is in Auckland. Wellingtons one could provide another indoor activity, a wonter sports training centre and economic activity. It would even have the potential to be solar and wind powered. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
An indoor ski field on the hills by Tawa. Inside this long metal building is real snow and people skiing and snowboarding. Outside are the green windswept hills of the north wellibgton valley.

What if Wellington, New Zealand was a global model for Democracy. This city could become that model and show the world its possible. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
How do you make a picture of democracy? I have created a picture of people walking down a city street. Be cause it's about the people he tangata he tangata. And with the orange man in usa destroying that nations democracy, what better thing than establishing wellington as a bastion of democracy.

Imagine if 'The Oaks' building was removed to create a large public square between Dixon St and Manners St. The Oaks is a really bad 80s building and needs replacing. We all love Arty Bees, but imagine a public space right there on Cuba St. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
A large public plaza with a giant rainbows umbrella sculpture. People out enjoying the sun in Wellington. Today is sunny so I'm imagine this is an all year experience. We all know that most of the year beanies and puffers are clothing de jour.

What if Wellington was a city wide bird refuge. With the predator free programme we could become a citynsize sanctuary. #LovePoneke #ArohaWellington
Two oversized birds that sort of look like a kiwi and a takahe. But AI has got it wrong. The kiwi has a brown feathered body with a weird orange head, like a kid with ginger mullet. And the takahe isn't as fat as they usually are. This one has less purple than normal and more little white spotted feathers.

What if State Highway 1 had a large sculpture marking the entrance to Wellington. In the past, there was a proposal for a giant hook sculpture, linking to the legend of Maui and Wellington harbor being the eye of the fish. #LovePoneke #ArohaWellington
Motorway heading into Wellington with harbour in the background. Sculptures either side are representative of what could be.

Imagine a new enhanced and future proofed Ferry Terminal at Kaiwharawhara. Allowing more larger boats to operate and connecting seamlessly to public transport. A new override would allow easy pedesteian connections. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
Picture of white ferry boat in wellibgton Harbour. Have you heard of Nicky No Boats out current Minister of Finance? We need new ferry infrastructure and new boats to future proof the connection. Rail is pretty much critical to keep efficient transport of goods operational in this country. Rant over :)

Imagine a waterfront tram or Light Rail connecting the 2km from the Inter-Island Ferry terminal to the central train station. It could also stop for cruise ship passengers and the customs over bridge for stadium users. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
A brunette woman waits to board a yellow tram on the wellington waterfront. This is a fully accessible tram connecting the interisland ferry, cruise ship terminal, stadium and wellington train station. One day the tram could continue all the way down the golden mile like they used to.

Imagine a new Ice Rink and indoor Ice Arena for Ice Hockey, Ice Skating and Curling. Wellington is missing this type of facility and the land next to Kilbrine pools seems ideal. Sharing heating/cooling plant with a pool reduces costs for both buildings. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
Indoor at an Ice Rink. Almost 2000 seats for large events, 6 changing rooms for international Ice hockey tournaments. Upstairs mezzanine Cafe for families enjoying Ice time. In the picture an ice skater is smiling and putting on her skates. In the background the hockey players are training in yellow and black gear.

What if SH1 was capped between boulcott St and the Terrace Tunnel? The space could be used for a new urban park, bringing the greenbelt into the city and creating another link from Kelburn to the city. #ArohaWellington ##LovePoneke
An aeriel image of a new park on land over top of State Highway 1. If the terrace tunnel was duplicated, this iukd be the final piece, essentially a big roof that forms a new park. Would be loved by uni students and office workers.

What if the Beehive had actual beehives? Bees are important, even im urban environments and the Beehive seems like a logical place to have some.
Some government building with beehives in the forecourt. My AI app had the hardest time recreating the NZ government Beehive and kept putting in images of US government buildings. Makes me think AI is preferential to American cultural images!

What if the Station rd bridge was widened to create a wide pedestrian link from Porirua Station to town centre. Attractive space to spend time. Including buskers, small retail and park on bridge above stream #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke

Imagine a high quality Public Transport connection from Johnsonville - Porirua. An option could be to extend the J-ville line in a tunnel under churton park and back to the main line at Glenside. Giving the northern Wellibgton suburbs better transport north and south #ArohaWellington ##LovePoneke

What if Johnsonville Mall was redeveloped as a mixed use precinct, Apartment buildings, laneways style shopping mall, community facility and green space all adjacent a public transport interchange and library. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
A futuristic impression of Johnsonville Mall with two tower apartment buildings, indoor shopping and green park. We all know it's basically a zombie movie set right now and needs an update. The bones are there with the easy motorway access and PT interchange. Just need the Mall at the hub of everything to be developed.

Imagine a Yellow Brick Road, forming a path to connect the main entertainment venues in the Courtenay Place precinct of Wellington. Connecting Town Hall, Michael Fowler Centre, Opera House, St James Theatre, Readings and The Embassy. Helping to define the entertainment area.

An image of a four piece rock band on stage inside a new venue on Courtenay Place. The lead singer is wearing a black t shirt and has blond hair. He is striking a powerful pose pretending to be a rock god. The bass guitarist is a tall woman with red hair and looks a lot like my daughter. What if Massey Rd on Miramar peninsula was closed to vehicles and became a space focused on walking, running, and cycling? This road is already closed for a number of events and could become a destination leisure and exercise location. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
Two people running along Massey Rd on Miramar peninsula. With white ferry boat sitting on water in background. The woman at the front in grey singlet and black legging with a high pony tail hair being blown by wellington wind. The man running behind is in yellow singlet and black shorts and appears to be out of breath, quietly regretting trying to keep up with his girl friend. Hardly any cars use this road and it could easily be turned into a safe people focused space for leisure and exercise.
