Hubby helped me get the bricks set up so that the greenhouse won't go airborne with the first gust of Kansas wind, and I have begun the slow process of digging the in-ground rows. I have a LOT of dirt to move. #gardening

My dad bought me a new greenhouse earlier in the year, and I finally got it set up. I'm going to dig trenches to make a hybrid walipini and try to grow veggies all winter long. I had a lot of luck with a less ambitious version last winter, so I'm excited to see the results. #gardening

Hubby and I went to the KC zoo Sunday. They're setting up the light sculptures again, and I was very pleased to see mushrooms. Hubs had me pose with one of them for a photo.

I teach a class where I give my students an art prompt at the beginning of the week, and then we have a 45 minute coworking session on Wednesday to make it. Any media they want. Last week was "Big and Small." I painted a closeup of a #frog eye while they made mini cookbooks and giant fidget toys.

Made a top from the Premier Cotton Sprouts Stripes yarn. One little cake made all this! No pattern, only vibes, and there will never be another exactly like it because I already learned a lot from making this one. #crochet

While I was working on my book, I was also stealing babies. My geese went broody, but they weren't taking proper care of the goslings. I rescued two, lost several others, and finally kicked the neglectful mother goose off the nest to save the remaining eggs. I now have five fluffy children.

#Crochet macarons - one of many patterns you'll be able to find in my Crochet Coffee Shop book once it's published! I made them with Premier Basix Worsted, and held the tower together with a wooden skewer.
