There's no denying things are tough, but I gotta say, I love my students: So it's early in the term, the students are working in groups and just getting to know each other and I overhear a group of students talking about tattoos. First or second day of class.

A couple of things I remember (aside from where I was, what I was doing, etc) At about 7pm that night, our niece was born. I hope the has a happy birthday. Got on a plane to see her a month later, and we already looked like an occupied country. So many big guns at RDU. It was not comforting.
