Gender equality week is about celebrating and commemorating the notable achievements and advancements of Canadian women. It addresses challenges women and individuals of minority gender identity and expression continue to face. Together, we can build a more equal, inclusive, and stronger Canada.

Today at sunset, members of the Jewish community begin observing Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. Known as the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur is a time for reflection, prayer, forgiveness, and renewal. We wish all those observing a meaningful and peaceful Yom Kippur.
