The hinge butterfly (Cardineus Papilio) is the most widely know member of the Articulidae family. It is non-migratory and once installed, it can be very difficult to remove. If denied its preferred diet of fingers and door jamb, it will hibernate harmlessly for decades.

I have revived Blocfall, my 2014 iOS time waster, as a web app with the help of infinite interns and some code tweaks. It plays better on mobile than desktop – I'm still not sure what the optimal keyboard controls should be. But it's still fun. lot49.com

In conjunction with AWS re:Invent, I was invited to a briefing with a Proto hologram of an AWS executive (whose head is not actually a blue block). Novelty value aside, I'd have preferred a video conference call – the interaction is more natural. There have to be better ways to spend $29K-$65K.

The Hansen Writing Ball (1878), invented by Rasmus Malling-Hansen in 1865 and released in a prior form in 1870, was the first commercially sold typewriter. Curiously, Designmuseum Denmark attributes the invention to Søren Malling-Hansen. Søren Malling is a Danish actor from Borgen and other shows.
