minor stream update: since this [trying to sort out the controller] ate the entire day off and on and since i haven't really been able to sit down, anyway due to other real life nonsense - i'm going to not stream today. will be back tomorrow. apologies for the short notice.

my plan was too slow and i died! that's totally ok. sometimes, you win in the progression series and sometimes you don't. what matters is the conversations you have with the folks who visit along the way :) thank you to everyone who stopped by :)

here comes a thread. enjoy. i took about a week away from streaming. some of this is because of life issues, but some of it was also because i wanted to reinstall fedora. my install eventually borked itself in a way that i could probably troubleshoot, but wasn't finding enough information about.

lostwolfe @lostwolfe.bsky.social · 13/12/2025

what's happened with dosember has made me remember why i'm functionally a hermit on twitch. i think my resolution for next year is simple with regards to streaming. it's just "be more of a hermit." i was looking forward to the event a lot - dosember is my favourite time of the streaming year.

120

lostwolfe @lostwolfe.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

next dosember game! i'm now trying "superhero league of hoboken." it's a hybrid adventure/rpg game. let's see how it goes :)

000

lostwolfe @lostwolfe.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

my first dosember game is complete! i beat don't go alone in memory of ratclowncar. most of it was pretty good. [the ending was a /little/ wonky.] glad i tried it. next up: superhero league of hoboken! :) [which i've tried in the past and never successfully finished.]

000

lostwolfe @lostwolfe.bsky.social · 26/11/2024

dosember is coming! potential games: day of the tentacle gateway superhero league of hoboken don't go alone [rcc memorial game] ecstatica [maybe] hero's quest randomizer [maybe] loom [maybe] what are YOU playing? [dosember: playing dos games in december. :)]

this is an image of a list of games that i, lostwolfe will be playing for dosember. dosember is a community run streaming event where folks play dos games for december. the list i'm planning to run includes: day of the tentacle, gateway, superhero league of hoboken, don't go alone [a rcc memorial game], ecstatica [maybe], hero's quest randomizer [maybe] and loom [maybe.]

i REALLY like that indie games often pick up the slack when it comes to under-represented genres. i picked up and have been noodling around with: --> ludus mortis, a kind of old-school first person dungeon crawler. --> erannorth chronicles - a sprawling shandalar-alike. both are neat.

100

lostwolfe @lostwolfe.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

a cool demo of a neat cyberpunk card-based roguelite has had my attention for the last week or so. if you don't know about "into the grid" [which has that demo and is on steam], then you should definitely try it. it currently has issues, but the developers are working towards release.

i like video games. i have a fondness for old, 80's/90's dos games [particularly sierra on-line/lucasarts] but have grown to enjoy older rpg's and platformers, too. i also love thoughtful, modern indie games. favourites include: chicory, night in the woods, balatro, infernax and shovel knight.
