A breakdown at a proctologist's office for a routine health problem made me realize I'm still a long way from "better," but I'm optimistic about getting there! Love the thumbnail. medium.com/@jameseldred...

Another new Lost Turntable post! The soundtrack to the arcade game 720°! From a flexidisc! With tracks that sound different than the versions in the game or on the game's CD soundtrack! Nifty! www.lostturntable.com/2026/10/06/a...

I didn't plug this episode enough last week. @feitclub.bsky.social did an amazing job giving this bizarre, problematic clusterfuck of a movie proper context, thanks to telling me way too much about its writer/producer, one Gene Roddenberry. cinemaoblivia.podbean.com/e/episode-11...

We are saddened to learn of Marjoe Gortner's passing. A lifelong performer, from legendary beginnings as a childhood preacher to his tenure as cult movie star, his career was like few others in show business.

NO ONE LIKES A LACK OF MID-RUN SAVES I mean, what the hell. I'm 47 and have a life (sometimes). I can't glue myself to a computer until my run is over sometimes.

Lost Turntable @lostturntable.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Was starting to get into Moonlighter 2 and was loving it! But it doesn't have mid-run saves and the runs can last well up to an hour. Maybe longer? Really an inexcusable design oversight for a modern game. Frustrating. Might ask for a refund and then buy again when they inevitably patch it in.

Oh and you should read that piece because it's not that serious, lets you know how I'm doing now (mostly good!) and it has a cute picture of Kuma. Spoiler, here's the cute picture of Kuma.

I have a piece in my head about how the tone and style of Well Dweller really bummed me out and how my current tastes in games feel contradictory to literally everything being released. Hopefully I can put something together soon.

I think I'm gonna use Medium as a place to give health updates instead of piecemealing them out here. It's also a good way for me to practice my writing. I want to get back into writing about movies, music, and games more, but it's hard. Starting with this stuff is a good warm-up.

Tom Morrello has never spoken out against Putin's invasion of Ukraine and has supported Roger Waters, who also supports Putin. These are facts, not 'expat opinions'

100

Lost Turntable @lostturntable.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Also he's a lousy songwriter, his solo albums suck shit, and "more for Gore or the son of a drug lord" turned a generation into "why bother voting, they're all the same" idiots. Fuck RATM and fuck Tom Morello.

Lost Turntable @lostturntable.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I don't know the context here but I wish the people defending Morello would also realize he's a Stalinist who has never spoken out against Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

What a weird life. Watch Marjoe if you can, it's really a fascinating documentary. And he's legit good in a few movies. He's fantastic in Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw and he's also really good in the TV movie Prey For The Wildcats. RIP you weird dude.

Oh and animal abuse is still not a reason to report someone on YouTube. Look, I know they're "just" bugs but filming yourself killing animals just to kill them is icky. It's not like the dude is an exterminator or something. He's doing it for kicks.
