A selection of my recent paintings depicting the lazy days of summer. #acrylicpainting #artyear #contemporarylandscape

A collage of three paintings.

A street scene with a light grey road in the foreground and a low rise restaurant across the road, partly obscured by a vibrant green hedge. Light blue canopies can be seen outside of the restaurant. Two tall palm trees tower above. The sky is a gradient from white rising to blue.

The pool and grounds of the Austin Motel. Sun loungers line the pool. Green hedges behind and a retro looking red motel sign above.

A pool in the foreground. Two retro looking sun loungers on a grass surface, close to the pool edge, red and white in colour. A stone wall behind with some green plants climbing the wall to the right hand side.

A selection of my recent acrylic paintings. Connected by a calming stillness. #acrylicart #artyear #contemporarylandscape

A collage of three acrylic paintings.

A single level commercial street. A look of small town USA. Buildings are muted reds and browns, a rusted corrugated canopy runs along the entirety of the street. White clouds above and a grey road in the foreground.

A sunset scene in a small town. Low rise commercial looking buildings either side of a road, drenched in a warm red glow. Telephone poles add a composition. Hills can be seen in the background.

A two floor building with a retro hotel sign reading ‘Hotel Vegas’. Road in the foreground and a blue sky above.

My Beautiful Launderette. I loved the look of this vintage launderette in Saltaire, West Yorkshire. I thought the clutter of machinery, posters, and reflections in the large windows, would make for an interesting painting. Acrylics on canvas. #landscapepainting #acrylicpainting #artyear #saltaire

Acrylic painting of a launderette shopfront.

Monolithic architecture. Trellick Tower, London, is a striking example of Brutalist design. I’ve admired this building for years, but only from the comfort of the train, as it rolls into London Paddington. This week I finally took a walk up to it with my camera. #brutalist #photography #artyear
