I found the ending of Thinner even sadder. Guy destroys the only person he loves due to his misogyny and narcissism. He's learned nothing and someone else he loves pays for it.

Rage is also not a very good novel. Maybe King's worse. I read it as a kid in the Bachman books compilation and to me even at that age it was clearly the weakest of that collection.

Fun movie. Lizabeth Scott does not pass as what I believe is supposed to a teen in this film. Like Bacall she projects the strength of a much older woman.

Same thing when Steve Bannon praised Julius Evola in a speech: a fascist occultist who thought the Italian fascists weren't racist enough so he tried to suck up to Nazis in Germany. Also a figurehead for fascist terrorists in 70s Italy who blew up a train.
