So sad to hear of the passing of artist Jack Vettriano, loved his work, have a few prints, esp loved his 30s glamour by the sea pieces. What a talent, gone too soon.

So sad to hear of the passing of Brian Murphy. He will forever to me be George Roper the henpecked (but usually with good reason 🤣) husband to Mildred in #ManAbouttheHouse & #GeorgeAndMildred. Brian & Yootha were comedy gold 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 thank you for decades of laughter.

I have repurposed a garden ornament (that has never seen a garden, because it's too cool) into a festive window display for kids on the street who walk past. Yes, it's definitely for the kids.

I haven't watched soaps in over 10 years, my mum still watches them like lot elderly, only because as she says nothing else on & she doesn't stream. Only channels I really watch are ones with classic TV or old films.

LostInFilms 🎬 @lostinfilms.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

I remember excitement as a child of getting the Christmas TV&Radio Times, a pen & pack of new VHS tapes (bought specially every year) ready to work out what was to be watched & recorded. There was always variety christmas specials nothing now same old current trash & celebs.

LostInFilms 🎬 @lostinfilms.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Why not put on some tv classics they have rights to from archives, who the hell is going to watch Lorriane or This Morning on Christmas Day ? It's all celeb dribble with soaps & film thrown in.
