I never thought I’d see an empire implode in real life, but here we are and god help us in the back wash of it.

And Black Iris brewery is a new one I’ve found. If you can get them in the US, give them a try!

You can get Kona brewery over here (Big wave is a favourite) But Big US Beer is pish. The microbreweries in the UK are, ahem, huge. Seven Brothers, northern monk, twisted barrel, ilkley brewery, tiny rebel to name a few.

And because what the flip Brexit would actually be, it’s allowed the “ah it WOULD have worked if it had only been done properly” to be said. I know it’s a trite line, but it’s like communism. A great idea to many, but never been done “properly”

I just thought that there was never going to be a situation where we could get a better trading situation than when we were in the EU- what’s better than frictionless trade?

Would you have voted the same way knowing how things turned out? I do appreciate these arguments have been gone over ad nauseum and I’m not trying to pick a fight.

I voted remain. I do have sympathy for your view but could not see how leaving would improve the pay squeeze. Being a smaller economy with less clout in the event of leaving wouldn’t have improved that plight. I’m wary in getting into a discussion because of how toxic things can become.

We only had quality streets at Christmas. And the yellow toffees made it to Easter.

Maybe there needs to be a tariff to the difficulty of food that is being produced so that if it would make escoffier weep then he is let off? But if it’s pot noodle…. Unleash hell

I spoke to him & Vic in the Radcliffe bar at Leicester uni in?89/90. He was funny and generous with his time. A unique “daft” sense of humour.
