For all intents and purposes, t-shirts clear CUSMA trade restrictions without issue, however in my latest forray at figuring this out, I found it now falls under 9903.03.14 - ART OF CA IN SBDV (B)(3)NTE 51, or in english, the motor vehicles tariff????? its just a flat 50% lol wtf

For those concerned about the US-Canada trade war, as of right now it seems media may not be impacted. So tapes, CDs, records, etc shouldnt cost any more on the brokerage side than it did 2 weeks ago. That said this is all incredibly stupid and made up so that could totally change down the line.

I do not intend to be contradictory at all, it is what the label was founded on, but about 99% of Lost Angle's 119 strong catalog is vaporwave, so while I'm still going to listen to all these demos and release whatever I like, I did list all those other genres for a reason...!!!

I am in no way eager to do business with Stripe when they monopolize online payments and use that power to openly discriminate against sex workers and LGBTQ+ people. I don't represent exclusively myself in this however so I have to weigh options accordingly. If only LA could be a physical store smh

Just as well, our shipping service has updated terms for shipping to the USA now that de minimis has been killed for incredibly stupid reasons, so hopefully the absolute most interruptions you will see on the customer end is $1-$2 extra in shipping charges. CAD, im pretty sure.

Just a quick update on what to expect currently, and its good news! As of right now the tariffs dont appear to impact merch from Canada, but we'll stay tuned as always if that changes. General postage has gone up slightly, but only by about 80 cents to a dollar, so its not the worst.

Actually there might be some tariff issues anyways, it seems the US border implemented 10-30% tariffs on any goods coming from Canada that are Chinese produced in origin? Kind of confused where that sets us because the tapes come from here, but plastic sure doesn't.

The shipping company I work with for everything is checking in with the US Border and trade contracts for shipments, they're saying they'll have a final word on what will change sometime next week. In the meantime, the tariff hike will take place on Tuesday, so ill be working to ship same as usual.

cleaning out my personal instagram account and found this lil Lost Angles artifact! Used to prep all the tapes like this, since they were sealed Maxell C-90s, regardless of what went on them. I would stack them up and dub them one by one, labelling what it was to be before doing so.

To my American trans friends and followers, a word of warning before passport offices open tomorrow from a friend currently dealing with this situation

Tell folks not to try to panic update their passports. We cannot change our gender right now, and in some places there is risk of your documents being confiscated. Your passports are technically government property according to 22 cfr 51.7, and they can be taken from you (and already have been for some people). This means that not only can they reject your application (and at this point they will), but they can also straight up keep your passport and other supporting documents.
In Whitman county (conservative county south of where I live) some people went to get their passports updated and the employees there told them their application was rejected *and they took those people's passports*.
It's all still rapidly updating and likely will for quite a time. Just tell folks not to panic hand their passport over - it's too messy right now.

Unsure honestly what to expect when the tariff increase begins, I hold little hope it will actually remain at the full 25% increase, I think negotiations will bring it down, however I highly doubt it will eliminate it completely. I'll remain transparent as always as I see what changes in February.

I actually did start a build a long time ago of like, a really dumb virtual Lost Angles space in Unity lol, like every album was an orb and it was continously streaming the entire album if you walked up close enough to the orb. It looked exactly like you probably think it looked.
