Was referring to the “one long crime spree” portion of the post. Current pres should be serving a sentence right now, but Garland wouldn’t go there. If we hold hearings, then prosecute, damn the appearance of partisanship. Policywise, I’m well aware that Biden was the most effective Pres since FDR.

The current administration’s corruption is so blatant people see it and want accountability. What I think they don’t want is a trifecta that wastes time on hearings that bring no results à la Biden’s term. They want transformational policies passed while also holding all these people accountable.

Maybe ask the people of Dearborn who sat out or even welcomed Trump at a campaign stop. Many admitted they hated him but voted for him “in protest.” Now they’ve lost family members, family members have been displaced, and Jake Lang feels emboldened to rally in their city lying about Sharia Law.

Over 40 years ago, young women like myself were told we could “have it all” (there was even a book Having it All). A lie then, a lie now. Hoping young women realize much sooner than previous generations. Support is still lacking & something always gives. One’s value isn’t in how much she juggles.

A guy running for office in northern Michigan posted yesterday asking, if the air pollution is caused by wildfires, why he can’t drive his truck with diesel fuel without a bunch of emissions rules. He may soon be writing laws in Lansing despite his, let’s say, lack of understanding.

It’s been like this since the late 70s when women were sold the lie that they could (should) have it all! Was just talking with a group of friends about how damaging this has been and we’re all nearing retirement. Nothing new here, including the lack of social supports.

My son, on the other hand, was the first male to receive the vaccine not in a trial because my husband was dying of HPV -positive head and neck cancer and we wanted our son vaccinated before it was approved for boys. We signed off on liability in order to do it.

My son and daughter-in-law aren’t able to get pregnant because her mother’s minister told her not to let my DIL get the vaccine because it would make her promiscuous! Now she’s had surgery to remove pre-cancerous tissue and is no longer able to carry a pregnancy to term. 🤬

Was at an SBA meeting on Friday in Detroit and an Asst Sec of War (🤦‍♀️) was touting GM/Detroit’s role as the arsenal of democracy in WWII and said we’ll plan for that again. GM not building cars, but building munitions! My colleagues and I actually verified w/each other what we heard. It was crazy!

Dems need to scream about this. Whoever is elected will be expected to bring those prices down overnight. When they don’t, they’ll be blamed and voted out rather than people understanding this is going to take years to fix. So much of what’s been done is going to take years to fix!
