Hayden got some good news at the vet yesterday! His foot is healing well this time. He was able to get all his stitches out except 1. Just one little part that is not quite healed. The vet said it should be completely healed in a few more days and he is even allowed to go for short walks now 🙂

Still recuperating from his injury. He had to go back last week and have it stitched up again because it wasn’t healing, and to get more antibiotics. Fingers crossed everything goes well this time. Greyhounds have such thin skin. They are even thinner skinned than a certain US politician 😉.

Yes I’m that old! 😆My father was in Boston for work. He took us all with him. We were in a mall when we came across a display and my sister and I were fascinated by it (so was Dad). A couple weeks later, it was under the Christmas tree for us. Thanks Dad!

He can communicate quite a bit with just the look on his face. He just tried to sneak off so he could lick his stitches. So I did what I had to do and you can tell he’s not too impressed.

He is currently on four types of medication and neither of us got much sleep the first two nights. He seems to be doing so much better today and I’m so relieved. Surgery can be risky with these guys, especially at his age. I’m so grateful he’s doing so well.

They tried to set it and bandage it and hoped it would heal. Back for a recheck the following Monday and a bandage change. Returned this past Friday for another recheck/bandage change. At that point, his wound had exposed bone and he needed surgery. Booked in for surgery Monday morning. 2/3

Is been a rough 2.5 weeks for this poor boy. He dislocated a toe running in the backyard. Two trips to urgent care on April 26 where they put it back in place. A 2nd trip when it popped back out. A trip to his own vet the following Friday because he licked it so much he got two infected wounds. 1/3
