unearthed
in the cradle of civilization. Interesting sidenote, that while
its main description concentrates
on the visible elements drawn,
it is of a region with an ancient system of very deep,
far ranging, & habitable tunnels.
It may note points of their
strategic entry.

Traditional 18th century Samurai helmet [ dome or bowl shaped hat bearing top to bottom studs in a column-like pattern, with a longer flap of leather-like materials running down the back to cover the neck from behind. It is often made of leather, sewn together with silk, & the metal elements ].
🔸This has a gilded octopus reaching its tentacles in a curvy way set atop it.
🔸The view is from the side, which shows the detail of the "suction cups" that run along the underside of an octopus' arm.
🔸This octopus piece is removable & is set upon a traditional Samurai battle helmet circa 18th century.
🔸Not seen in this photo due to angle, but it is possible the octopus arms reach above to resemble the same idea that horns of another animal might,
