One of the joys of having deep-cut characters on cards was researching their primary story documents (mostly books). Lyna's flavor text is a line she speaks to Urza when they meet on Rath in the Bloodlines novel. It seals their agreement to help each other that comes to fruition in Tempest block.

Lyna, Veil of Vengeance. She is an elderly woman with pale hair and skin, and she summons a glowing orb of magic as half her face dissolves into the space between realities.

Worzel and Thomil are the first two planeswalker characters and duel on the plane of Ergamon. How to name them? I pitched giving them broad archetype epithets to carry the weight of their legacies. Worzel's circle of protection saves her from Thomil's destructive magic, thus the names!
