Ultra cute red squirrel in Adirondacks. At first it was cute looking for food, but then attacked my dog, my leg and my father, so my father had to kill it. Led to telephone tag with the local health department. Necropsy determined that it was not rabid sparing me from needing rabies treatment.

Camping in the high peaks area of the Adirondacks. My father is sick, so I went solo. Nothing better than lugging a 60 pound pack on my back for thanksgiving. Three years in a row of camping, but last two with my dad. Cell service is too weak to upload a picture so I’ll have to post that on Sunday.

I accidentally took a whole 510 gram bottle instead of a 238 gram bottle for a colonoscopy last month. At least I was really clean inside and that miralax is not toxic.

Congratulations. Mine probably won’t happen until like late 2025 or even 2026. Got all the letters, and find out that the surgeon only uses the ones at her hospital. So consultation in late February of 2025. Only decent one that my insurance covers

I will continue to use the ladies room even when it is made illegal. All of my id and birth certificate state that I am female and a men’s room is not appropriate for me. Fortunately I live in NY and proposition 1 passed so it seems likely NY will pass something anti-trans legislation.

Last year my wife and I discussed it and I decided to transition with her support. Living as my true self greatly outweighed the possibility of another stroke. Hopefully the blood thinners are sufficient to alleviate the risks.

Sunday is the 12’th anniversary of my stroke. I was pondering starting estrogen before it. For 11 years after it I told myself estrogen was too dangerous and tried to stay in the closet as trans. My egg cracked before the stroke so I lost 11 years of living as myself.

Last week Watson our chihuahua was choking on a dingo and had to go to the ER. The waiting room had a big pride flag and it made us happy seeing the acceptance. He was fine, finally getting it into his tummy where it it digested between the two x-rays.

That’s what the NP prescribed initially, but patches only got my E level to 53.7pg/dl. With the IM estradiol I am about 200pg/dl at the last blood draw and I upped the dose slightly (it easier to see 0.3ml on the syringe instead of 0.25ml) so I am probably at like 250.

Sorry, that is awful. Did you try another doctor? After having a stroke, I am not supposed to take any sort of estrogen. Fortunately my nurse practitioner and I determined that the benefits outweighed the risks and prescribed me IM estradiol.

Starting estrogen 253 days ago is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I am happier then I have ever been. My only regret is having not started it about 15 years ago when I realized that I was really a woman.
