Manually edited normals seperates good models from GREAT models. Anime models and cell shaded models in general share a lot of similarities with hard surface modeling. In many ways they are more hard surface than organic!

You don’t need a high polycount to give a model nice round cell shading. My base model is 25k tris and doesn’t use any subdivision. The SUBdivision modifier is not a SUBstitute for good modeling. #blender #3dart #anime #vtuber

Things I learned from Arc System Works models I noticed they modeled their hands with the thumb down, palm flexed, fingers extended. Skinning the mesh and creating fists becomes way easier when working from this position. #blender #anime #3dart #vtuber #vrchat

Just hit 130k words in Book 4 of the Portal Mage Saga. The first two books were 130k words each, and yet I am barely halfway through book 4. It is meant to be the final book of the series, but man it feels weird writing such a long story.
