I find this to be absolutely hilarious. About 75% of being a middle manager is dealing with the middle school bullshit conflicts between the staff, so that they don’t filter up to The Big Boss, or HR. The other 25% is dancing attendance on The Big Boss. Good luck to him.

I worked with a number of law enforcement people during my past life in local government. Most of them had the attitude that more surveillance and fewer freedoms made their jobs easier, and that law abiding people shouldn’t be concerned, as they were “only protecting us”.
