I've been so tempted to go back to writing again lately, but my burnout career wise has made the idea daunting. That being said you'd catch me dead before I tried to use AI as a "tool" to get writing written. I make it myself or I don't make it at all.

Its both trying to save a buck and hoping consumers don't notice, and trying to justify the money already spent. AI in general has overspent by a massive margin and are trying to force it into everything to try to recoup the costs. Doesn't make it any better, of course

Ghostbusters. My dad thought it was a good idea to show a 4 year old. Had I not grown up around dogs the demon ghost hounds ckukd have ruined them for me. Even without that they gave me nightmares for months, and I refused to watch it again until my mid 20s. Then laughed through it because adult.

All I can really say about the Cornell discourse is I somehow escaped the rape culture mentality growing up. Quite possibly because of my being a bit of a social outcast as a kid. And bluntly? there is no easy way of doing this, I never honestly thought I even had to but terrible circumstances have been hitting us hard here and this needs immediate attention. I'm currently facing a difficult unexpected change in my life. I have to find a new place to live before November 1st, and at the moment I have no place to go. I'm hoping some family will help me figure things out soon, but unfortunately most of them are pretty much telling me good luck on my own.

I'm more worried about what will happen with my mom and our cats, as she's been struggling for the past couple of days processing this news. I've been so focused on working on myself lately with taking online classes to improve my abilities and education but I don't want it to be for naught. I know I haven't been streaming more for those reasons but I'm trying to make time, however with preparing to leave this might make it impossible though I will try my best. Trying to pack up nearly two decades worth of memories is a struggle, and I wouldn't wish a situation like this on my worst enemy.

Right now you guys are basically like my family and I wanted to let you know what has been going on, and this whole thing is fresh news so I'm still putting things together on my own. I don't know what to do currently for raising funds to support but I have made a GoFundMe for the time being. I still really appreciate the previous support for my late cat from a few years back and I know this is a hard ask to help me, but I will also appreciate any support given to me now whether you can donate or share.

I don't expect the current goal to hit but anything will further help me get what I might need. I'm sorry I can't really offer much in return like incentives. Things are still being set in motion so I don't exactly have a destination yet, which is what I'm working on right now. I'm leaving this here for those who want to help and share.

Welp. I am now completely locked out of the career path I've been sustaining my will to get through the work week with. From "I want you to be one of my senior resources" to having no way to even get on the team in 6 months. Looking elsewhere terrifies the fuck out of me but now there's no choice.

The original Super Mario Land for GameBoy. Was a brutally hard game to give a toddler but laid the groundwork for my love of platformers and introduced me to the concept of overcoming challenge as being worth the struggle.

It's weird to me to not be prepping to get into the new Fire Emblem on day 1, but it being in the same world as 3H and seemingly leaning into that game's designs has me hesitant until I see reactions to it. I don't need giga story in a FE game, I need interesting tactical gameplay, and 3H...didn't.

When people say "Trans rights are Human rights" this is what they mean. I am not trans, I have no plans to use any trans rights myself. But I believe with every fiber of my being that trans people deserve the right to do what they need to do to live happy, fulfilling lives...because I want that too.

I also think MM was the tighter game between the two, though for 3D Zeldas I'd probably say I'm a TP stan more than anything. Granted the trio of GBC Zeldas are my nostalgia bait more than anything (and I'd say the remake of Link's Awakening did the remake needless changing thing so I'm consistent)

I've been playing through Galar for the first time this weekend, and my opinions can be summed up as: if not for the atrocious performance literally everywhere, I think Scarlet/Violet would have a very positive legacy with Sw/Sh as their predecessor. So many "oh gen 9 made this better" moments.

I am well known among my irl friends for being super picky about shows. My most common response to inquiries about a series is "I haven't seen it." It's extremely easy to NOT watch something even if the zeitgeist thinks it's the Big New Thing. Never saw an ep of GoT and I survived just fine.

The package is finally out for delivery today. It didn't move at ALL Sunday or Monday, and then suddenly went from very specific distribution center to my state's biggest dist center hours away, to biggest local one, to my local office in the span of 18 hours. When they're allowed to they still work

As an update, it landed in a different distribution center last night. Technically a closer one as the crow flies but objectively farther for land travel. It was estimated to get here yesterday, btw. I expected the next update to either be the closest dist center or local office.

Interview today to move from being a contractor to being a direct part of the organization I've been contracted to since I graduated college over a decade ago. I know at least 2/3 of the interview panel personally and my potential boss has told me she wants me there...still really friggen nervous.

That's not to say I'm "cured." Strong triggers still get me and I worry away at things all the time still, but my average anxiety spike has gotten way lower since I learned to sit with the discomfort for a short time without trying to actively alleviate it.

Increasing discomfort tolerance has been the biggest thing I've learned from therapy for my GAD. Learning to not listen to that voice to check if I turned the oven off, or locked the door, or not looking up anxiety triggers. It sucks for 15 min and then I'm fine, and next time the urge is less.

Twice now in a period of no Internet I've opted to play Total War Warhammer 3 and been told the security validation had expired and it needed to connect to the Internet to be sure I was still the legal owner of my purchased "copy." It's insane that anti-piracy hurts genuine players most.

Since they broke after a while and gold was actually rare. Pokopia having dive be permanent and not PP based was a genuine pleasant surprise, since every other ability is limited (which for Surf and Glide I thought was especially bad.) More of that kind of permanent gain please!

One thing I want to see more of in current day cozy games is permanent upgrades. Idk why we fell into eternally crafting things world but I hate it. It's so flowbreaking needing to go craft another fishing rod or go cook more food because you ran out. The golden tools in ACNH were mostly pointless

It's not "hated" as much as "no one knows or cares about it" but Tales of Maj'Eyal is my most unusual love. It's a full on roguelike in content and length, dozens of class/race combos. It's a ton of fun and brutal in equal measure, and I wish it had more popularity. 1.3k hours and counting for me.
