[ It's called the "Lost and Found" for a reason. But he'll pocket that one for later! That's a good one-- ] * So, while I'm brewin' us a cuppa-- oh, ain't got no allergies, aye? Got teas, and fruit punch if ya ain't one fer warm drinks! [ Heh. What a fun little invitation. Like a tea party. ]

* 'se words are still just that: Buncha letters with meanin'. Powerful, sure, but only powerful as the feelin' they resonate with. * Who d'ya think wrote the first iteration? Was it even written? And does that even really matter? * Lasted this long, reached us... inspired us. A whole generation,

* Who'd a' thought Metta'd be a couch potato, heh! Sounds like I got lots o' catchin' up t' do... * Ah, there's an idea! Sure I'll see 'em 'round town at some point or another. 'Specially with the Eve of Darkness comin' up soon. * Guess I'll get t' stretch m' legs a bit more after all, gyeheheh!

* Covered? Then ya just ain't lookin' where ya should be! [ ...where were they now? It wasn't where they were headed, that's for certain. Or, was it uncertain? Were they lost, now? The Old Man stops at the crossroads ahead to consider this possibility. ] * Hrmm... welp, I'm lost!

* Ohh, tha's right! Metta and Maddie if I'm rememberin', aye? They didn't show for class often as you did... * They both comin' into themselves yet?

* Exactly! Hold out hope, 'specially for her. I know she puts her all an' then-some into her passions. She wouldn't let one bad call be the end o' her career! She'd never let /herself/ live it down!

—𝐈'𝐌 𝐎𝐋𝐃! @lordofthehammer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

[ Hrrmm... well, that sounds more like her, rushing into danger. Shame he can't gather a guess as to what it was, nor go after her to check on her. Fairly limited right now. ] * I see... maybe she got someone on the run. Or maybe she's on the run after somebody! Gyehehe! I wouldn't worry too much.

* I've seen this all before. So many times, so many re-tellin's... but this one? This one's stubborn. Never changes, never expects anythin' more, or less. * Ain't a story like that get boring after awhile to ya? * 'Specially if ya've lived some of it? Geheheh...

* Yer boss! And she ain't even there?! We /are/ talkin' about the same Undyne, right? [ He can't imagine her being absent. Or at the very least not doing all the loud and in-the-field parts of the job. ] * Ya give her an earful fer me if ya see her before I do, then, gyehehe!

010

—𝐈'𝐌 𝐎𝐋𝐃! @lordofthehammer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

* Best ain't just all ya can do, it's the /best/ ya can do. There's a reason there's a word fer that! [ An earnest, nostalgic smile, adjusting his cap with a quieter chuckle. ] * Aye, c'never be too sure, Toriel. But it's that lack o' certainty that gives life a little extra fun sometimes!

—𝐈'𝐌 𝐎𝐋𝐃! @lordofthehammer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

* Aye, that's somethin'! Don't let that 'side-hustle' o' yers go, understand? If ya like it, keep doin' it! And if ya don't, take a break. Simple as, gyahaha!! [ He tilts his head, looking at the hat atop the ghost. ] * Police officer, eh? That firebrand Undyne end up workin' there? Heh!

—𝐈'𝐌 𝐎𝐋𝐃! @lordofthehammer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

[ Displaced, misplaced, replaced... doesn't mean much difference from his perspective! But then again, that's because his perspective never stays the same for too long. Too boring that way. ] * Ain't much for talk, huh? Might be in a full suit o' armor, but I can tell practice when I see it.

* Miracles, hm? Seen a few myself. /Been/ a few myself, if I dare be so bold! [ Gyahaha!! ] * Good to see ya still movin' forward, lass. I hope life ain't been too harsh on ya.

000

—𝐈'𝐌 𝐎𝐋𝐃! @lordofthehammer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

* Aye, it's been a long time. Long enough I see they made a bench in my honor, gyahaha!! [ Weeell, so much for that, huh? Cat's outta the bag. ] * Think one'a the last times I saw ya, you were still a quiet lil' music whiz at the back o' the class! Yer still workin' on that, aren't ya?

010

—𝐈'𝐌 𝐎𝐋𝐃! @lordofthehammer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

* Gyaaaahahaha! I've been waitin', young'un, you still ain't answered me proper! [ He grins, closing his one good eye in an earnest wink. ] * How's ya doin', Napstablook? Ya've grown since I last saw ya!

010

—𝐈'𝐌 𝐎𝐋𝐃! @lordofthehammer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

* Hmm. Maybe, maybe. I do like it where it's darker, if I had t' be honest. Readin' between the lines long's I do tends to drag ya under! [ There's that hearty chuckle again, before turning to the glass pane the Knight was viewing. ] * Huh. That's odd... [ 𝘊𝘙𝘈𝘚𝘏.ᐟ ]

[ Well, there's an Old Man here. One she probably recognizes, ain't that right, Gerson? ] * Gyahaha! What's with the sour reaction, there? I forget to brush m' beard?

[ There wouldn't be anybody here, normally. It was late, choir practice had ended long ago, and even Father Alvin had taken his leave for the night after ensuring Asgore left at a reasonable hour. ] [ Sometimes, praying was all one could do. Faith and Hope weren't necessarily mutually exclusive. ]
