The last two #Lorcana sets have strong enchanted card values with the average for each set being over $100 vs $56 for the prior 4 sets.

Lorcana Finance @lorcanafinance.bsky.social · 11/06/2025

With rotation announced and extra supply on the early sets, the values have taken haircuts of about 1/3 since the start of the year.

Selling cards for $2 isn't wild. I think like 95%+ of Lorcana cards are under $2. But a legendary on opening day... I don't think racing to the bottom that fast makes sense. Would love to hear if it makes sense to somebody.

For the more experienced player with a $100 budget, beyond rounding out playsets or the R/SR, it might be worthwhile to build positions for other non-rotating legendaries. I think Mufasa, Baymax and Simba seem like they will see more play once there is rotation. ⅞ partner.tcgplayer.com/ra0rnj

For the $100 budget new player, I would get the previously mentioned starter deck and the trove along with the gift set from Azurite Sea. You will have a binder to store your cards and a few more packs to go along with it. 6/8 partner.tcgplayer.com/7aDqmV

For the more experienced player, I would look to complete playsets of non-rotating cards rares/super rares for a $50 budget. Daisy/Doc/Genie should continue to be strong in upcoming sets. 5/8 partner.tcgplayer.com/bOqJ3m

For the $50 budget for a new player, I a trove would be a great addition (assuming you already have a deck). I would go with Archazia’s Island, it is simply a better set that is not going to rotate and the enchanted cards are holding up their value vs other sets. 4/8 partner.tcgplayer.com/je50Xb

For the more experienced player, I think it is worth exploring the legendaries that won’t rotate in the fall. I think Bagherra will be solid going forward. For a $20 budget, I would recommend two. 3/8 partner.tcgplayer.com/3JRWAy

With #Lorcana rotations and reprints, it will be more important to manage your collection. We have seen this in Magic, cards crash once they are out of "standard" but not strong enough outside of that format.

3rd) The top enchanted cards are still strong. While they are 5 to 10% lower than December, these are still higher than any enchanted in Azurite Sea or Ursula's Return.

2nd) Boxes on TCGPlayer have risen over the last week. It is hard to tell exactly as shipping cost vary from $0 to $20 but the lowest box from somebody with 100+ sales is over $90.
