A FANTASTIC Lower Decks time was had by ME at DragonCon 2026! 3 panels, 10 photo ops, 4 autographs, 8 Jack selfies and 2 Jack hugs over 3 days! Everyone was so kind and complimentary about my animation work on the show! I truly felt connected. My heart is full! #lowerdecks #startrek #dragoncon2026

Last August I was brought on by W/M Animation to work on the new Lorne Micheals documentary “Lorne”. The animated segments were written by Robert Smigel and done in the same style as his TV Funhouse cartoon segments on SNL. Mine is the first one in the show at around the 7:50 minute mark.

Working my way thru the #TheArtofLowerDecks book while also on the lookout for anything from one of my scenes. On page 282, there's a BG from "The Inner Fight" of the exterior of Locarno's lair. My shot! I animated the tiny Freeman, Rutherford, Shax and Billups walking in! #lowerdecks #smallvictory

I got an email from Brendan Small, creator of #Metalocalypse. He needed an animator for a #Facebones PSA about "erectile dysfunction" for the upcoming 20th anniversary tour of his band #Dethklok. After a zoom call with Brendan, I got to work. The tour is happening now! Here's a clip of what I did!

Taking my time as l work my way thru the #TheArtofLowerDecks book, and keeping an eye out for anything from one of my scenes. On page 160, I found this image from "The Spy Humungous" of the 3 Pigs that I animated! The character designer made the poses but I animated them! 😅 #lowerdecks #smallvictory

The final 2 eps of "Smiling Friends" drop on 4/12 at 11pm on Adult Swim. Director David Hootselle made this amazing animated video of his time on the show. He is a super cool dude, funny as hell, and also a young, punk kid who made good! Check the 1st comment on the vid and meet the crew!

The first show I worked on was "Harvey Birdman Attorney At Law". I was hired when they switched to Flash for S2. Here's a shot I did from S2.E2 "Trio's Company". In 2003 we were all still pretty new to Flash. A lot of figuring things out as we went along. This was done in Flash MX (Flash 6).

I know Lower Decks fans are perturbed that the Cerritos is not featured in the Star Trek 60th anniversary intro. But the entire thing is an homage to the S-field sequence from the series finale where the Cerritos transforms while traveling thru the rift. So IMO, the Cerritos is all the ships!

"Howl at the Dead", an award-winning short horror film written and directed by my old pal Gregg Bishop is now online! A few years back, he asked me to do some animations in the style of old cartoons from the 30's, to be used in the background on the boy's TV in his bedroom at night. Check it out! 🎃

One year ago today animation wrapped on Star Trek Lower Decks. It was the best of times. I got to work on 27 total episodes (plus 1 episode of Strange New Worlds) of this fantastic, funny and heart-warming series. #SaveLowerDecks #LowerDecks #StarTrek #StarTrekLowerDecks #startrekonplus

Star Trek Lower Decks, Season 1 Episode 1. This was the very first shot I animated on the show. It was a fairly easy shot of Captain Freeman walking up to Commander Ransom and Lieutenant Shax having a drink while the Cerritos crew celebrates a successful mission.

I got to animate a few cool moments on Lower Decks. This is probably my favorite. I got to do Alt Boimler's "Reverse Riker Maneuver" in Season 5 Episode 1 "Dos Cerritos" and then Prime Boimler immediately says "Damn, he's good!" Lol! Thanks, Brad!

3 successive images of Alt Boimler completing his Riker Manuever by swinging his leg over his chair as he stands.
