April 2026 field campaign included our regular biogeochemical water sampling, site inspection for the DRYLAND project, and first chamber GHG flux tests in the Pleta de Molières peatland and nearby mineral soils. www.creaf.cat/en/research/... #LTER #IDAEA_CSIC #CEAB_CSIC #CREAF #pnaiguestortes #AEI

Last week we carried out our monthly biogeochemical sampling across the Sant Nicolau river network (LTER Aigüestortes) and maintained our soil-stream multi-sensor platforms. Spring conditions in the Pyrenees, with more snow than usual for this time of year. #LTER, #IDAEA_CSIC #CEAB_CSIC #CREAF
Crossing Estany Llong in the late afternoonHeading down to the valley after a long day working in the Contraix CatchmentAntoine is checking the battery and communications of the soil-stream multi-sensor platform in the lower part of the Contraix CatchmentOur soil–stream multi-sensor platform in the lower Contraix Catchment is almost completely buried in snow. We measured about 2 m of snow.
