the lid on the right jar fits SO nicely (thanks to my ceramics friend for sanding it down for me lol) and i’m really pleased with the glazing!! i just want to tweak the proportions a bit more and keep experimenting with carving the cap. i will def be making tiny acorn jars in the future too!!

a little evolution of acorn jars 🤎 this ceramics class session i learned how to make lidded forms, and i’m on a quest to making the perfect acorn jar to stash my acorn collection in :^) the tiny pinch pot was the first, the one on the left was the second, and the right was my most recent attempt! 🍂

a photo of a trio of differently sized, shaped, and glazed acorn jars. in the front, there is a small pinch pot acorn jar with an ancient copper glaze body and matte black glaze for the cap. behind and to the left, there is a larger, wheel-thrown acorn jar with an ancient copper glazed body and textured brown lid. to the right, there is a wheel-thrown acorn jar with a warm brown speckled body and brown textured carved lid.
