i remember i was in a place where i was struggling when i wrote this line. i was overwhelmed with so many other things, and the idea of aging and the unknown that comes with it scared me. i wish there was a way i could travel back in time to tell her that everything would be okay. that we made it.

"What the fuck do you want?"
For a brief moment, frustration flickered across Husk's eyes, but it was gone as soon as it came, replaced with his usual poker face, all trace of any previous emotion gone as the bartender folded his arms, voice carefully neutral as he spoke,
"Figured it was time for us to talk."
Despite knowing it was coming, and even opening the door for it to happen, Angel still felt his gut drop and his heart beat harder. Fuck, this was it. He was going to be alone again.
He forced himself to take a deep breath, reorienting himself from laying on his left side to sitting up instead, his lower arms wrapping around his baby bump as he crossed his upper arms over his chest, sending Husk a pointed look,
"Didn't think there was anythin' else to talk about, unless you wanna word it differently? Make it more clear for the stupid whore in the room?"
Husk's brows furrowed again, arms dropping as he finished going down the steps, holding one hand out towards Angel, that gesture along with his suddenly softer tone only making him angrier,

i’ve only made maybe four loaves from the starter? mostly bcs the AC has been on the fritz this summer and we were struggling to keep our house cool, so using the oven to bake bread was out of the question 🫠 but now that it’s getting cooler i plan to bake so much more bread!!

that was also right around when i got into Hazbin, so i named it Angel Dough and have a couple stickers of Angel Dust i’ve put on the lid lol. unfortunately i slacked on it and he molded, but i’ve held onto a majority of the starter from the original as discard so he continues to live!

Husk had rolled his eyes at first, so certain it was just big talk from the Pride Ring's biggest pornstar, but then they got to know each other as friends, saw past the act and part of the person beneath it, then as lovers after a night of shared drinks that brought out a mutual confession.

not so much historical like some of my initial research but i did find two stitches that i feel would work well! this lace wave stitch kind of gives radio vibes, but then i found this one that’s literally called “lost souls” which is Too Perfect.

for funsies here’s little snippets of what i managed to write bcs it’s a struggle enough just to finish any wip rn lmao

Everybody had their love languages that they spoke through; giving gifts big or small, kisses and touches ranging from chaste to filthy, directly or indirectly saying
'I love you', and even incredibly specific ones that nobody else would really understand.
Despite participating in all of said ways as a couple, Angel and Husk found themselves instinctively going to that fourth option a lot, which for them was the act of making bets between one another.
In hindsight it really was no surprise with Husk's gambling and Angel's impulsivity, starting not-so-innocently enough with a wager on who could handle the most shots one night (the cat might have won on paper with thirty-five, but neither demon truly won that bet in the end), and from then on out it became a regular occurrence with them.

"You know what your highest number is?"
Angel raised a brow, figuring he knew what the other meant, but wanting to make sure anyway,
"Of orgasms?"
Husk gave him a flat stare, dropping his chin in a hand as he gave a one-sided shrug,
"No, I meant the number of fingers that have been shoved up your ass in one go."
"Well if that's what yer askin', fifteen," The spider snickered as his boyfriend rolled his eyes, leaning back as he did give the question more serious thought, "but if we're talkin' about O's, then I think that would be... twenty or somethin'? There was one really long shoot day I did once "
"Not like that, I mean like, you know..."

Angel blinked, brain taking a second to catch up as he registered the sincere words and Husk's genuine look of questioning, lips spreading wide in a grin that made the cat glance away, and holy shit there was a hint of a blush on his cheeks!
"Oooooooh, that's what you're curious about? That's edging into kinky shit, Whiskers.
"
"You gonna answer my question or not?"
"If we're talkin' about my highest in one romp, then that would be," Angel furrowed his brow, thinking back to the few times he had done such a feat between his job and personal adventures, "Eh, eight, give or take?"
Given he'd never really challenged himself to see how far he could go, Angel felt that was a pretty big number, some might even be impressed if he decided to go around bragging about it. That was until he looked back at Husk, and balked at the lone, unimpressed, raised feathered brow the cat was giving him.

"Really? You're certain?"
Angel blustered at the response, narrowing his eyes and leaning into Husk's space, shoving a finger into his chest,
"What? Y'think I don't know when I cum?!"
The bartender straightened up, holding his hands up as he did a piss-poor job of disguising his smirk.
"No no, I just imagined it would be higher, given you're always going on about everythin' you do."
"Well, don't this feel like a segway towards a bet?"
"What's your wager?"

What started as two tiny lines had now become a tiny new life in Sonic's arms. A lot had changed over the past nine months, and would continue to do so whether he wished it or not. Just like that night on the beach, when faced with the unknown, he was excited for what would come next.
