i will never never never get enough of them, in any capacity. i could read about / watch them in 20 novels and 8 movies and i’d still be a greedy kid with grabby hands www.thecut.com/article/case...

sometimes the impact of fandom can inspire and create genuine goodness in this fucked up world. a real legacy for these fictional boys who mean and represent so much to so many. ♥️

since when has it been two weeks since i last posted here? gotta get it together, clearly. unfortunately twitter still has me by the throat :(

yea i have some co-workers like that too. i used to use 9/11 as a bit of a litmus test of how young somebody was so it really hurt when people started telling me they were born in 2002

040

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

no i understand. every year it stops me, and i always wonder if i’m entitled to feel that way as a non-american who was a child at the time but it really gets to me. watching that doc as a type and realising how fucking awful the aftermath was — didn’t achieve anything but more pain?

i’m watching the new netflix documentary which is also talking about the wars after the fact — i am so sad and learning so much

040

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

doesn’t it make it feel weird? for want of a more sophisticated word

120

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

25 years does feel like a big deal. this year was also the first time i’ve been aware that there are now adults who were not alive on that day, which feels so strange too

150

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

today feels like a very bad day to be sami - a step taken towards an dissolved united kingdom - canada strengthening ties to the eu, which, as a british citizen, i cannot hope to benefit from in my continued quest for canadian permanent residency 😭

does anyone else feel like 9/11 anniversary hit harder than normal this year? i have seen footage i’ve never seen before and i haven’t been able to stop thinking about it for 4 days now

I recently started with a physical book I read at home & an ebook on my phone I read when I’m out and about. I can concentrate enough to listen to audiobooks or i’d probably have 3 on the go 😂

011

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

last reads, current reads, next reads (reading two books at the same time is a game changer, who knew 😂) is this a thing people are doing over here? if not let me start it 😂

150

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

i did not one, not two but three pieces of personal paperwork i’ve been putting off for weeks today. feeling very proud and accomplished 😂😂

only 10% into this ARC but can already feel it becoming one of my favourite books of the year. - time travel - information packed but lovely writing - lgbt protagonist - if you’ve read & loved the first fifteen lives of harry august by the same author, i think you’ll love this too

I liked it but not quite as much as I thought I would. The ending let me down a bit, I think. I would still recommend it though.

Oh good to hear it’s not just me!! How are you keeping up with the skin1004 stuff so far?

110

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Just raw dogging life I guess. My face gets soap and that’s about it. No one ever really taught me anything so I find it all incredibly intimidating. With other attempts in the past, I do the thing for a week or so and then completely forget about it … let’s see if this is any different 😂

120

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

consider me officially #hudfluenced (though really as a person in their mid-30s with no skin care routine to speak of, it really needed to happen at some point so … just wasn’t expecting the push to come from a 25yo man but 🤷🏻‍♀️😂)

a friend (the least fandom-inclined) person on earth) just asked me if i had any insight on langara and of course i just had to mention my close personal friend and confidante hudson williams 😂😭

060

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

my friend invited me to go see obsession with her and another friend on friday and i have no idea whether to go or not — historically not a big fan of horror. how scary is it?

120

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

good to know. i just got an arc for switzy today so i think i’m gonna read that first and then maybe circe. i do hate that tsoa didn’t borrow its way under my skin like everyone else. one day i’ll read it again 😂

120

skele-sami 💀 @looking4orion.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

i read song of achilles for the first time in 2022 & didn’t love it as much as others have (which doesn’t mean i don’t wanna see that movie. i do) but seeing the odyssey this weekend makes me feel like i should try & read it again (along with circe, which has been on my tbr for literal years atp)

clarifying question: does this scene in alex’s room include the ‘it’s your royal highness, i don’t know how many times i have to tell you that’ kiss?

100

red room has ‘shut up, stop talking’ and pre-discussion bedroom has the nose squish on the back of the sofa (and that amazing bts laughs) — can we call this one a tie?
