Gonna talk about my interpretation of FNF Boyfriend and Girlfriend (AKA: BF and GF). Feel free to use this for wikis and stuff. This applies to both Dave and Bambi and Staten Tower.

I kindly request that you please do not refer to this character using my name. I no longer use this as a persona and I instead use it as a persona for the late "MoldyGH" project which is a separate identity if that makes sense

After heavy consideration we have made the move to overhaul the lore of Dave and Bambi overall to fit the direction and intended tone better for future projects. (1/5)

It's a side project to lots of other things I have currently going on so it won't be out soon or anything but I've been wanting to post this for a bit now just because of how happy I am to finally be making/working on a non-fnf project

New Project a few friends and I are making!! It's DFAC2:R! (Special thanks to @square2.bsky.social and @bezie.bsky.social for helping with the title image concept and Dillon for allowing us to make this!!)

When it comes to Moldy Games, do you still plan on having projects like dfac under that title or are you going to change it eventually

Genuinely so excited to see what the future holds for you (dnb wise or not) you’re goin places man, good on you for persevering despite everything

It makes me feel shame to associate even a little bit with the fnf community given how much they’ve dragged you guys through. You’re one of the most talented people out there and are the least deserving of hate yet they don’t care to see the improvement for themselves and continue to stew in hate

you actually see and play in the mod along with the various characters in the world of DnB

- unserious and fun. Maybe it'd be an interesting discussion to have in the development server or a gc sometime if you and everyone else would want to, just something to ease me a bit more into the idea cause it still boggles my mind a bit when I try and process it all and relate it back to what -

- light heartedly in a way if that makes sense. At least that's the impression it gives me from the docs I've read and from what I've heard from other devs I'm still trying to get more used to it because for the longest time I've been more custom to the wacky side of dnb where everything is super -

I've been trying to get more enjoyment out of it in recent times because it does seem like the definitive route everyone on the mod wants to go down. For me though its a bit strange because while I can appreciate the absurdity, to me it always feels like its a little too serious to be taken more -

- I’ve been trying to see past my distaste for it and warm myself more up to the concept as it seems to be the direction everyone else is wanting to go. So I thought I’d to ask the community I see most attached to the base mod lore what they enjoy about it as an attempt to change my opinion

Jo Kinman @longdonny.bsky.social · 13/09/2025

Genuine question for the blue sky part of the Dave and Bambi community: what do you enjoy about the base mod lore? Or more so what about it do you enjoy? For the longest time I’ve been super opposed to the entire concept of the lore in the base mod. I have many reasons for this, but more recently -

drawing dave on the day that volume 1 has released after 207 days. TERMINUS. #daveandbambi #art #dnbterminal

The upper-left quadrant of a larger illustration featuring Dave from Vs. Dave and Bambi. In the thumbnail view, his head is in the bottom right corner with a blue shadow on his face. Behind him are various astronomical objects, such as the Earth, the Hubble Space Telescope, the Gemini constellation, and NGC 7098, a double barred spiral galaxy.

Clicking on the image reveals on the top the rocket launched in Half Life 1 and an astronaut. Text on the top says:

"WE WILL SACRIFY TO TOUCH THE SKY
THEN BURN THE BRIGHTEST DAY
WITH A MATCH WE LIGHT THE DARK OF NIGHT
TO WASH IT ALL AWAY"

On the bottom, it says:

"GONNA MAKE NEW TRACKS AS WE TURN
OUR BACKS ON THE STARS
WARNING US, STAY WHERE YOU ARE".

The lower-left quadrant. In the thumbnail view, Dave is smiling in the upper-right corner with his hand held up in a relaxed position. Behind him is his house on a bright cyan day with many of Fort Geraldson's residents in his front yard looking or waving at him. Closest to him is Bambi, Tristan, Playrobot, and the pet cloud sitting on a bench, with Tristan and Bambi each having a hot dog on their plate. Further behind them are Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Muko, Carl, Juan, Maldo, David, Marvin, Bimpe, and Item Planet.

Clicking on the image reveals there are darker clouds high in the sky, indicating a storm approaching. Cubes can be seen in the clouds. In each corner of the image there is text that says:

"I'm feeling good, let's say
My emptiness has gone away
I just woke up today
Eat my corny flakes for you"

The lower-right quadrant. In the thumbnail view, Dave is in the upper left corner with his hand held up in a stopping gesture and shaded in red shadows. The Void can be partially seen behind him as well as some red text. This Void is on the left side of the image, while the right side is completely black.

Clicking on the imge reveals Dave is smiling nervously, while Expunged's eye markings are on the top and bottom of the screen. One of Lord Bambi's eyes is inside the marking on the bottom half. Tristan's Golden Heart is behind Dave. Sideways red text along the border of the Void and the black segment reads:

"MY DREAMS ARE ALL I HAVE WHILE REALITY IS COLLAPSING
I WILL FOLD LIKE A TESSERACT, LIKE A DEER IN THE HIGH BEAMS
I'M LIVIN' OUT OF PHASE WITH THIS PLANE OF EXISTENCE
CASTING SHADOWS IN A CAVE AS AN ACT OF RESISTANCE"

A multimedia drawing of Dave, Tristan, and Expunged from Vs. Dave and Bambi in the red void. Dave is a 3D model with a 2D drawn face hitting the griddy with a nervous grin. Tristan is golden beside him and scrunching his face in cringe and waving his arms around. Expunged, in the foreground, has a dejected expression. Dave is saying, "You can't keep us trapped here! I-I'll "Griddy" our way home!!!"
