Fun fact - the d8 is the only dice shape you could do any kind of alternating effect on! The rest would all have to have two or more like-faces touching each other.

Trying to decide if I want to do this set polished like I usually do, or go for a matte finish. Which do you prefer? (Reposted to make sure alt text is included - apparently the "require alt text" setting got toggled off)

2 nearly identical d10s in an open palm. One is fully polished and shows the reflective rainbow mylar inside with subtle ultra fine glitter. The other has the same mylar and glitter but has a matte finish to diffuse the reflection.

I can't believe I need to say this, but I'll take it as a compliment that I must have really nailed it - this entire piece is resin and not an actual geode. It is cast in stages so I can layer effects, but it is all resin nonetheless.

It is simply cast in stages to get the effect, but it is all solid resin throughout - no density differentials. I promise you dicemakers are not out here making dice that can't be used. It'd be like a potter making a mug with a hole in the bottom.

Most things I'm working on right now are secrets, but I did sneak in some polish time on this oversized geode.

An oversized d20 done with an insert to resemble a broken open geode. The body of the geode is a dark teal colorshift resin, and the geode cavity is a bright white and silver that colorshifts to suble light pinks and greens.
