Aqua background with a quote from @patty_berne. Black text says: “Disability Justice was built because the Disability Rights Movement and Disability Studies do not inherently centralize the needs and experiences of folks experiencing intersectional oppression, such as disabled people
of color, immigrants with disabilities, queers with disabilities, trans and gender non-conforming people with disabilities, people with disabilities who are houseless, people with disabilities who are incarcerated, people with disabilities who have had their ancestral lands stolen, amongst others.”

Our hearts are with everyone mourning the recent passing of #PattyBerne, the visionary Co-Founder and Executive and Artistic Director of #SinsInvalid — may she rest in power. #PattyLivesThroughUs Learn more about Patty's legacy & celebrations of life at sinsinvalid.org
Patty Berne, a Japanese-Haitian person with light brown skin, smiles playfully with love and light shining from their brown eyes. They wear an off the shoulder opalescent blue dress and an amethyst pendant. Their brown hair is pulled back into their signature two buns. Behind Patty is a pink background with radiant red and yellow flowers. At the top of the image, iridescent capital letters spell out “PATTY LIVES THROUGH US.” On the bottom right corner is Sins Invalid’s logo, a black rectangular box with white letters that read “Sins Invalid.”
