One of the nice things about #LongBeach and a lot of the beaches in the area is how accessible they are. With not just cement walkways, but also these mat floorings so if you use a cane or walker, you can get close to the water. The outdoors is for everyone!

Sometimes WE are the ones who need help. There is no shame in asking for and receiving it. We support each other in supporting our communities. Thank you. Yes, you.

"Good things," big or small. You can make a huge difference just by showing kindness or lending an ear. Any way you are able to help, matters. Some days we have more capacity than others and that's fine.

One of the best parts of being in radical spaces is you can exist, no...live, as you are and do the work, be heard and not worry about how you're perceived.

How much longer will we accept this as how things are? Should be? Let's start organizing our communities to come up with a better way. A way that protects, takes care of and empowers us. It's up to us!

Even our "elected representatives" don't have our best interests at heart. They are always beholden to their financiers and lobbyists. Sometimes corporations. Often the working class suffers while politicians placate and keep folks complacent.

We sometimes get asked "what is a popular assembly?" Here is a simple definition. LBA meets about four times a year as a general assembly and we have several smaller working groups geared toward specific projects. Our next general meeting is February 21st! Come join us!

I remember when Obama was renovating the nukes and I’d say things like nuclear weapons should be stopped and liberals would get upset because Obama good or something I don’t know, I can never stop talking about how badly his era fucked things up because living through it was a nightmare.

George Chen, the mayor of Torrance is MAGA extremist. In a 2022 interview he praised Trump and said Trump was the kind of leader the country and the world needs. That is disqualifying and divisive ideology like this has no place in leading our city. This June, VOTE NO ON THE MAGA MAYOR!

I think it’s really important for European governments and heads of state to keep making all of Trump’s unhinged utterances public. Put it all out there for the world to see.

They say they’re monitoring ICE arrests. Feds say they’re breaking the law.

The fatal shooting of Renée Good last week, as ICE officers and residents faced off on a Minneapolis street here, has brought new attention to ICE monitoring.

It's hard to have hope, but it is all some of us have. It's a powerful, driving force that can lead to liberation. If you find yourself hopeless, seek community. Find your people. As Leonard Cohen said, "There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in."

"To be truly radical is to make hope possible rather than despair convincing." - Raymond Williams
