There are so many things about this game that I didn't appreciate as a kid, but am wowed by as an adult, like how it handles draw distance!

Starting my playthrough of Spyro. I played this as a kid, but it's been over twenty years, so this is basically fresh to me 😆 What an amazing game, and technical achievement for the time it was made in.

Crazy work schedule left me with no time or energy for gaming, but the weekend's finally here and I'm kicking things off with some OutRun. Thinking of starting a playthrough of Spyro tomorrow.

The baby. With that out of the way, if you have it, you might as well play it. Very flawed, but I don't regret my playthrough. It was (mostly) fun.

Nice article, I appreciate the level-headed reporting. My two cents: AI is disruptive now, but in the long-term, we'll see more jobs. Every tech that drives productivity leads to people doing more, not receding. Compare a person from 2026 to 17xx. By that logic, we should be 98% jobless.

Prior to the MotionPlus the Wii was... an experience 😂 Jokes aside, it was a great console. Let's not forget that it gave us Super Mario Galaxy.

I beat the Easy, Normal, and Difficult Grand Prix modes in R4. All that's left is Expert. Such a fun game, even when the grip cars aren't gripping 😬😆

It's not the most powerful emulation system, it can pretty much only handle the 2D-era consoles, but it's not bad for something I already have sitting in my living room.

That moment when I realized that my TV is a glorified Android device, which means that it can run RetroArch and connect to Bluetooth game controllers for couch co-op Turtles in Time 😯

Huge fan of the OutRun series. I love the original and C2C. They're my go-to games while traveling. Someday I want to master the RA set for the MD version.

My experience with the steam deck has been similar. It can do a lot, but it's just so heavy. Traveling with it is like carrying a second laptop 😞

This showed up on my feed and I was like that's cute.... and then I saw 2MB and 3Dfx Voodoo 2 and I'm like oh... they're serious when they say retro 😳

I'm starting to understand it. It feels like a beat'em up with how you enter all these different gear combos to drift through turns (2 → 4; 1 → 3 → 4). Really cool game!
