Still got more Resident Evil-related material in the WIP pipeline—the "Birth of BIO HAZARD" tape is among one of those titles in there. It'll be a while before any of it is ready since I want these to be encoded as carefully as possible. I'll give updates as I go along. Probably.

The interview was extracted from a PS2 magazine disc and carefully encoded by an anonymous user. @cosmicmaria.girlonthemoon.xyz timed/translated/typeset this, and imatu helped QC it. This is just going up on YT for now but I'll eventually put this on Nyaa. www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8fD...

I started playing Resident Evil for the first time back in April and have gotten hooked on the franchise since then. I recently discovered an unsubbed 7-min interview with Shinji Mikami earlier this month, so I went & added English subs to it.

I think it goes without saying, but I acquired these books because I'm interested in the interviews (plus that post-show story) and I'd like to get them translated at some point. The books go for a hefty price but I acquired them last year and asked someone else to scan them for me.

I especially have my eyes set on the fourth volume for one particular reason: It contains a post-show written story where a man claiming to be Timp Sharon's child tracks down an elderly Jiron—living peacefully with Elchi—in an effort to kill him out of revenge. (Or something to that extent)

A big thank you to anyone who's watched and viewed this release, it means a lot. Unfortunately, it has also come to our attention that the 4K & 1080p encodes of the full screen version have video glitches on them... we'll put out a fix soon whenever we can.

There is a LOT to talk about regarding the history of this fansub project. I don't want to make this into a super long thread, so you can read it on my blog site (which I'll link later on this thread). But I can summarize a few key points here and there...

LonelyChaser Fansubs / Translation Marty Zone @lonelychaser.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Set during the 1980s, the movie begins with an American scientist building a space weapon for the US capable of taking down ICBMs. When the Russians kidnap him for their own purposes, this ultimately starts a series of events that leads up to a fictional outbreak of World War III.

Since it's relevant—I digitally restored the album from vinyl four years ago since the existing CD release is just a poorly done LP rip. Check it out if you haven't listened to it yet, it's pretty good. Might consider getting the lyrics here subbed at some point... www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne0c...

One last (unrelated) note I also feel like mentioning. I got in touch with a trusted translator who just recently opened commissions. Am thinking of throwing some WIP stuff at him... I have a live-action movie on 16mm that needs TLC, so I'll be having him check that soon.

I have about 30 min left of the audio to fix, but the part where I'm at now in the movie has some really awful bits, so I'll need more time on that. I didn't announce this on Twitter at all but I also managed to acquire the movie's 2nd (and final trailer) on 35mm.
