Have you noticed how people who don’t live in London say things like ‘God I’ve heard it’s really dangerous’? Weird, right? Research project hoping to do something about it. 🔗 www.londonisfine.co.uk

Hi Sheamus! you seem to have accidentally given me 'anon@gmail.com' as your mail address so I can't reply directly but perhaps you'll see this here. 1/5
message via LiF's contact form gives contact email as anon@gmail.com and reads 'Hi! London isn't fine. Every High Street contains multiple shops and businesses set-up for the purpose of laundering the proceeds of drug dealing and prostitution'

I hope Sir Sadiq @london.gov.uk will like the picture of the fox and appreciate that I went to the effort of getting a thematically appropriate (almost, sorta) stamp for my lobbying efforts
London is fine postcard/flyer depicting a fox looking at a bin. Reverse with Monopoly-themed stamp showing the Scottie dog counter on Pentonville Road on the board, and in the tiniest handwriting I can do, the following text:

‘Dear Sir Sadiq, I hope you’re well. I’m a postgrad student at Central Saint Martins researching whether and how the authentic voice of Londoners can be used to counter the disinformation that spreads about our city. Thank you for all you’ve done to bring this issue to light.

I have two simple anonymous survey questions at the londonisfine.co.uk site: What would you thank London for? and Where were you happy in London? I’d love to know your answers to these questions.

You could give anonymous answers at the site. If you’re able, though, I’d be really grateful for answers I could attribute to you, either publicly or in my academic work. I can be reached at nikki@londonisfine.co.uk. Yours faithfully

Was out in Whitechapel for peak eclipse and wasn’t prepared for what a lovely few minutes it would be: people hanging out in a thin sliver of sunlight passing their eclipse glasses round, and calling strangers over to have a go, a man showing off the crescents that his colander made
A corner that got the sun in Whitechapel and a group of people discussing eclipse strategiesEclipse viewing strategies being deployed by a bunch of people in WhitechapelA man, his colander and the crescents it made

Well, you can read into it what you like but I am taking this inexplicable meteorological phenomenon as a blessing from the skies on the LiF project
Two towers of the Barbican. What looks like an upside down rainbow curves away from the top right corner of the tower in the foreground

Monday report: happy to have found shade while walking round the City and would thank London for the Jock McFadyen exhibition (with Jem Finer soundtrack) at the Guildhall Art Gallery
