i forgot about this #photo edit i did last time there were wildfires. the blackbird image i got from pexels

sickly gray background, blackbird with mouth open, the orange of its wing the sun, in front of it are hazy trees, then closer clearer trees, lastly closest to the viewer is an urban roof top with pipes and other metal contraptions

Other than figuring out how to hang this #painting i think it's done. it's taken a long time not because the work was intense but because i did such a little bit of it at a time and had awhile of not doing anything on it ^^;

on a board of light wood is painted various wells at the top, in the middle is a dark purple background with ropes and buckets hanging down plus one pipe, and at the bottom is wavy bright water

Partner mentioned some kind of #drawing a front facing horse thing going on here, i don't normally do digital art but it can be nice for casual work. Just in time before Shabbat really starts and I disappear from online lol

a kindle displays the digital drawing of a pink/purple (it's more purple in person) horse head with blue hair facing the viewer

Honor the Earth is an organization fighting against environmental and for indigenous rights. They're asking for help on this matter (I'm not Lakota, just want to support their cause ^.^ )

a flier depicting a machine in a cleared out area of forest. on top it says: !!Urgent Call to Action!! in red and underlined. a little below that in pink it says: our young Lakota Relatives are calling for the masses to show up and protect Pe'sla, the heart of everything that is!
in the middle of the page over the background image is a white box with black text saying: Hau my relatives, we are here up at Pe'sla and need our Lakota people to come help and join the fight, they are keeping us from going in and out of the tribal lands we have up here and keeping our relatives blocked in! This is the time to bring people together and fight for what we have always been fighting for generations!
We need reinforcements, back up and numbers!
closer to the bottom of the page is a pink box with black text saying: IF YOU CANNOT SHOW UP ON GROUND, CALL THE NUMBERS BELOW & DEMAND ALL DRILLING STOP IMMEDIATELY!!
below that in a sand-coloured section is:
Mystic District Office of Black Hills National Forest at: 605-343-1567
The Forest supervisor of Black Hills National Forest at: 605-673-9200

finished this mini canvas before art crawl and only getting around now to posting. #oilpastels #traditionalart #art available on ko-fi.com/s/a2b56c58fd

on a small black canvas turned sideways to make a diamond shape, is an oil pastel depiction of a bee hovering over some yarrow flowers. it's not visible but there's also a wash of thin sparkling purplish watercolour to add more ambiance.

(reposting because i forgot the initials for anti-AI purposes.) small canvases are a challenge, available ko-fi.com/s/6baf93d1a9 #watercolour #watercolour #traditionalart

a small canvas only slightly taller than a tube of chapstick, depicts the inside of a tree-house with a wod table table, green chair, green rug, wood door, window, blue curtains. there's a candle in a holder, papers, writing instrument, and book on the table, a key hangs on the wall. out side the window is a railing and darkening bit of sky. there's initials in blue added in a digital layer over the door.

Let's see how many, maybe all, maybe none, of these I get done for the art crawl, also considering offering optional hooks to be attached to canvases if people want to use them as functional decor for added incentive

#graphite #pencil #sketch #doodle i started this page during the last art crawl and this is it now lol initials just to maybe ward a little against AI

various sketches, a with hat floating, three pumpkins, a pine, an unknown tree, and a willow, an eye, a book with ribbon and pen, a key, a house and tree, a sheet ghost, a candle, practice eyes, a steaming mug, a rose, hatching and circles, an egg, practicing faces and facial features with one head sketching out of a person with their hair in a bun, a man in old fashioned clothes that didn't turn out, ugh, a woman in old fashioned clothes looking concerned.

#watercolor #watercolour #painting #art latest room painting is done, like all of them the neons look really cool under purple light. watermark initials for anti-AI purposes

a watercolour painting of a bathroom, large walk-in tub in bronze, separate roll in shower, a cabinet sink with raindrop mirror above reflecting an old-fashioned toilet, rainbow candles on a window sill showing the colours of sunset and leaves outside, a small potted tree near the tub. blue walls, grayish floor.

same image but bathed in purple light which makes some things like the window, candles, soap bottles, and leaves glow

#photography saw this reflection, thought it looked cool, did some editing. purple mark is to in any way damper A.I. theft

an abstract photograph, dark curves at the top and sides like curtains, three golden circles at the bottom on a black band with golden line underneath them, they're reflected up onto a bluish background towards the left top corner are a group of more golden spots. there's a branch of silhouetted flowers and leaves cross the middle and near the top right is a bright white circle like a full moon. there's a purple initial over the bottom left corner in highlighter as a meager anti-AI effort

I know it's probably not my best work, comics aren't really my thing and digital art isn't my specialty, there were some tech issues too lol but i hope it at least has good vibes! #comicsforliam

trees behind, sunlight filtering from above maybe an early stage of sunset, Liam arms up with his bunny hood and a rabbit-pikachu mashup beside him, run from the left to the right over a snowy ground, on the right his dad is dressed as spider man, mask up, and kneeling down with arms held in front to hug Liam. it's a blurry style with a number of errors like wonky lines and some lighting/color discrepencies but is overall bright and happy at least

thought the framing of this would be neat for some #photography

black and white photo, shadowed sliding doors on either side, a gray fuse box in the middle slightly to the left, a lightbulb hangs from a long black cord held up by a bracket slightly on the right, there's a decorative strip near the top of the middle section, the wall is pale.

the snowfall (yay, it's been so long since we had a good snow!) made me think of a snowperson design. Just a quick doodle, not meant to show off skills lol

a quick simple doodle of a night scene with shadows on the ground, a snowman with hat, scarf, stone eyes and smile, carrot nose, and stick hands, holds a sign saying "More snow, No I.C.E.!"

Finally uploading the finished #watercolour library painting

a cozy library scene with walls covered in bookshelves, a window to an icy setting, and a fireplace. The floor is wood with a braided rug, a piece of paper, cat toy, cat bed, and small blanket. The shelves have mainly books but also a few other things like a tin can, teddy bear, candle, rock, papers, and a ceramic pot. there's also a couple cabinet doors and a drawer built in. There's a painting above the fireplace of a forest silhouette with blue sky and purple ground. On the mantel is a clock and silvery leaves. there's a green armchair with a blue pillow, a honey-coloured blanket, set of headphones, next to a curved side table with a book and steaming blue and silver mug. behind the chair in the corner is a stand holding a lantern.

#watercolor #wip i'm hoping to have done in time for the next art event. Thinking i might keep making rooms like this, they take a long time but they're enjoyable. I'm planning to make clay planet ornaments too. The novel is at over 54k atm, quite a bit of words still to go.

on black paper and unfinished, watercolors show parts of a cozy library with a fireplace, lantern on a floor stand, a candle on a shelf, a clock on the mantel, a pet bed, a pet blanket on the floor, a rug, a torn piece of paper on the floor, a cat toy, a rug, a chair with a pillow, blanket, headphones, a side table with a blue and silver steaming mug, a book, there's a window on a blurry wintery scene, the floor is wooden, there's cabinets on either side of the fireplace and an empty picture frame on its chute.

winterroseart.com/shop/ Still uploading items! I just finished this #surreal #watercolor piece and added it to our stock of #art available

on black mixed media paper painted with regular and neon watercolour is a surreal scene. in the center is a camera lit in pinkish right on the right, fading to purple then blue towards its left side. the center of the black lens has a white circle mottled like a moon. it sits on a pedestal also showing the gradient from right to left with the front panel having cascading lines flowing down. to the lower right is a collection of plants like a bush. A few broken glass pieces tumble down from the window above where some panes have swirls and others are broken. All still in the pinkish gradient. on the left side is a leafy plant growing our of a swirled vase, also of course pink to purple. behind is a grayish crowd of human silhouettes. behind them is a large black circle that they may be entering or exiting.

light gray sky, fiery sun oval above hazy tree tops, rooftop in the foreground with metal components and rain stains

like the first but darkened and heavily grained causing circles to emanate from the sun

like the first but darker gray clouds and overall dustier landscape and the sun is now part of the orange and yellow spot on a giant yelling blackbird behind the trees

New #painting, Nott the Jötnir of night, holding her daughter Jörd the Jötnir of earth, riding the horse Hrimfaxi who leaves the morning dew, pulling Mani the moon, and followed by Hati the wolf. From #Heathen #mythology. I always find Nott to be good visual art inspiration ^.^

Hati, a black wolf happily chasing the moon through the sky.

Hrimfaxi the black horse runs determinedly, spraying foam from her mouth that will turn to dew, on her back is Nott and the baby Jörd, behind she pulls the chariot of the moon. Nott is a dark skinned woman with full curly hair, a smile, purple shirt, blue leggings, and fur edged boots. Jörd has green curls, a happy expression, holding her mother's arm as she looks back, blue shirt, gray boots, dark gray pants.

a galaxy style background, the sea crashing below, the moon is in the middle in a golden chariot with chains holding it in place. In front is Hrimfaxi a black horse running with Nott and Jörd as riders. Behind is the black wolf Hati, mouth open to show tongue and tooth, happily chasing. All is painted in metallic watercolour. There's a see-through initial placed over top of some of the image in an attempt to protect it from AI use.

at a point with the long covid that i'm just pushing myself to do things to try to reset back to normal (was recommended by a dr a different time) and it seems to be working :fingers crossed: made a little progress on this painting, masking fluid woulda helped ^^;

metallic watercolors of blue, purple, aqua, and pink are dabbed together onto a black canvas with some vague silhouettes. the colors are meant to invoke the idea of a galaxy. the silhouettes are meant to have more features in them but were overwhelmed and distorted when the background was applied then partially removed in those areas.

#drawingpractice i realized recently that i can draw candle flames fairly well, campfire/fireplace flames though... oof. They move so fast, are asymmetrical, and have hardly any structure. difficult. I think i have a better idea now though

variety of flames in different mediums (charcoal, chalk pastel, watercolours, pencils, and ink included) on black multimedia paper. some are yellow and orange, a couple are white.

variety of flames on white mixed media paper. two types are gray from charcoal and graphite, one red from something like charcoal, the other three yellow, orange and red from pastels, pencils, and watercolour pencils

four fires on white mixed media paper. the top left is black ink, the top right watercolor, the bottom left neon watercolor, and the lower right metallic watercolour which showed up a bit green this time.
