I wish we could move more towards the kind of mentality where the making of things is the point, not "having a product" by the end. When you make things you grow yourself, you give yourself experiences, you enrich your own inner life by actually engaging with the process sincerely.

Do folks have any preferred print-on-demand shops for stickers, such as redbubble? I've a bunch of designs I'd like to put up but I'm not at all up to date what's the go-to platform these days... or if there even is one! I used to sell on society6, but their quality control wasn't very tight.

Having "reduce camera motion" style settings is a must for me, as well as reduced flashing light effects. (example: vampire survivors.) Sometimes I will mod a game to reduce or remove graphical effects that are bright or camera sway. I've also set my monitor to rather low brightness to start with.

Migraine is the worst. I get the aura in my vision-kind and it leaves me unable to function for at least a day after, sometimes longer. Definitely justified to simply sleep and rest.

Yeah, acrylics and minis work well together for me too, but I definitely always reach for gouache for painting in sketchbooks. I've tried oils, and I really like how workable they are, but ultimately I find them.. a little high maintenance? Gouache sits somewhere perfectly in between for me.

Gouache is an incredibly versatile and fun medium. I hope you'll enjoy it! I really found a whole new way of enjoying painting when I moved from acrylics to gouache. Maybe it's my absent-minded nature, but I feel less stressed, less like I have to fight the way I am.

It's very telling they needed more time in development of the game to properly test and plan everything out. We're seeing them trying to develop and balance the game on the fly. It's quite obvious if you remember how incremental the difficulty increase was in world in comparison & felt intentional.

What I mean is: don't blame yourself for what is a rational, logical response to feeling like you have no control. Whether it's "just" anxiety or the anxiety is a result of another thing, your mind is just trying to help you the best way it knows how.

After doing a bunch of therapy we realised my tendency to overanalyze was due to living my entire life as an undiagnosed autistic person trying to exert control over a chaotic world where people's reactions are unpredictable. Especially with my tendency of being socially difficult to understand.

I agree the person was being combative about it especially if they repeated their question like that. I think you're also justified in feeling like you were attacked socially in that moment. I relate super hard to overanalyzing social situations and I'd probably felt the same you did.

My buddies generally call me ghost, yes. I've had the monicker since around 2008 or so but I do have other nicknames too. I prefer they/them but pronouns aren't that important to me personally as in my native language all pronouns are genderless. No strong associations one way or another for me.

I draw or otherwise engage with art making most of my waking hours, on the exception of taking a few days off every now and then due to health reasons. It would be difficult to give an estimate. If I'm awake, I'm probably making something.
