For full 3D games? Not so much. It's intensely stupid to me that games like Fire Emblem 3 houses have these big 3d sprites that already do the job, but then decide to cover up 40% of the screen with these lazy ass face swapped pictured of a character frowning.
Valkyrie Profile does it best IMO.
