Briefly, what makes this project special is that it's based on wasm2go, the WASM-to-Go converter he wrote.
Most of the codebase is therefore automatically generated through a C++ → Wasm (wasip1) → Go pipeline, which I found to be a unique and interesting approach to this kind of issue.
