Did you read the account? The death came after the person had been hit by an SUV at 35mph and thrown 30 feet A human would've been found been not at fault if driving the Waymo, so why should Waymo be considered liable for this death?

The facts of the case sure seem like no rhetorical trick is needed to absolve Waymo "The pedestrian was hit by an SUV traveling 35mph, then flung 30 feet into the oncoming lane. The unoccupied Waymo, moving at 24mph, detected the pedestrian 150 feet away & slowed, impacting the pedestrian at 5mph"

Waymo Fatality Likely Not-At-Fault: Here Are New Details And What-Ifs
A Waymo was involved in a pedestrian fatality in Dallas. New details suggest they were not at fault, and could not have prevented events. But could superhuman robocars do more?

Don't think that would deter Britons who want to rejoin, and think Leave / Reform / Restore voters would also favor a closer relationship with a more "Fortress Europe" EU - immigration was always their #1 issue

Not my intent, it's just your claim - "they" want this for "reasons" - is very close to "GRT" But looking at your other posts it seems unlikely you believe this, so curious as to what you think the Tories wanted to achieve, and what their incentives were en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_R...
The Great Replacement (French: grand remplacement), also known as replacement theory or great replacement theory,[1][2][3] is a debunked[4][5] white nationalist[6] far-right conspiracy theory[3][7][8][9] coined by French author Renaud Camus. Camus's theory states that, with the complicity or cooperation of "replacist" elites,[a][7][10] the ethnic French and white European populations are deliberately being replaced by non-white peoples—especially from Muslim-majority countries—through mass migration, demographic growth, and a drop in the birth rate of white Europeans.[7][11][12] Similar claims have been advanced in other national contexts, notably in the United States.[13] A consensus of academic scholars have dismissed these claims of a conspiracy of "replacist" elites as rooted in a misunderstanding of demographic statistics and premised upon an unscientific, racist worldview.

Yes, but they didn't do that with the *intent* of increasing other forms of entry It was a failure, but not a *deliberate failure* - which is what those who believe in "the Great Replacement" claim

No, I want to demonstrate that "let France sort it out" is a simplistic solution that fails even under Macron, never mind Le Pen or Bardella EU govts have no interest in stopping migrants leaving their countries UK, just as UK wouldn't stop any migrants trying to leave for France

Across 12 of the 14 books, 123.5 days were described, though Bond was unable to consume alcohol for 36 days because of external pressures (admission to hospital, incarceration, rehabilitation). During this time he was documented as consuming 1150.15 units of alcohol (table 2)⇓. Taking into account days when he was unable to drink, his average alcohol consumption was 92 units a week (1150 units over 87.5 days). Inclusion of the days incarcerated brings his consumption down to 65.2 units a week. His maximum daily consumption was 49.8 units (From Russia with Love day 3). He had 12.5 alcohol free days out of the 87.5 days on which he was able to drink.

And if not eligible where do they go from these centres/hubs in France that the UK will presumably pay France to build and operate? To put it another way, if 1000s of migrants were trying to leave the UK, would the British govt stop them?

I guess they'd argue the drive for status and money is hardwired,* but in a "fair" society the positions that granted status and money would go to "the most able", which would overwhelmingly be white men from a certain class *With "real women" gaining status / money from marrying (& mothering) well

Sorry, I agree My point was just with the rise of, say, India on the world stage, it becomes increasingly untenable for Britain's plastic patriots to claim to have the definitive story of what happened elsewhere in the past

And how do you stop people from leaving France, if they don't want to be in France and the France obviously don't want them in France (regardless of what Farage thinks Bardella's agreed to)? Of course, Reform could always try and persuade Meloni to stop migrants leaving Italy....

Which is why I don't see Kemi saying this as bothering the Tories or Reform. They've never been opposed to "free trade" with the EU, only to what they perceive as the strings attached: the need to follow rules, pay for admin / cohesion and give people the same rights as goods, services and capital
