I was a fan of Porter, but Steyer is for single payer healthcare. Why do studios shoot in countries with universal healthcare? Because that saves producers a ton of money off the top by not paying into the union healthcare… if we want production back in LA, we have to compete. This is the way.

Everyone should watch The Rip on Netflix even if you don’t like the genre. The production company, Artist Equity, negotiated a first of its kind deal with Netflix that provides the workers involved in the production of the film with a bonus if it performs well on the streaming platform.
