When Linc got his powers, he had trouble coming up with a super-name. He didn't want to just copy Spider-Man over in New York. News stations took to calling him "Chicago's Spider-Man", which still felt off to him.
One day, Linc saved a pedestrian who was about to be hit by a train. The would-be victim did not appreciate the gesture. Instead, he called out the hero. "I saw you on TV! At that Pride rally, supporting the queers! Guess that makes you the Spider-[f-slur], huh?"
That's when it clicked. Linc IS bisexual. Linc already casually used the word on himself. This maniac wasn't about to cut him down by using a slur like that So indeed, he is Chicago's Very own SPIDER-F-slur!
"You're allowed to say it when discussing me," he assures the city. "Just... like, watch how you say it."](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:gfph7tms4v652p5e2cojninw/bafkreigt5opcri2zlobo6kutzdvfys4sdqegjparhyvfuick5xckcicboa)
