In the jet lag journey where I’m not falling asleep until 1am CST/8pm Hawaii (by the end of two weeks our bedtime was 10-11pm) and then getting up for work at 830 CST/430 HST. I’m not even hungry until 2 (9am HST) I always forget how hard coming back is on the body, I should have stayed forever 😭

I hate being so sad coming home because I’m so grateful I get to visit Maui at all. But man, 2 weeks of seeing how life could be. It’s a rough adjustment coming back to cold, rain, dying leaves and deadlines.

We’re staying in Kaanapali right now and the surf from Hurricane Lowell impacted here more than expected. Walked down to the seashore a bit ago and found so much marine debris, went back to get a trash bag and in 5 min it was filled. Found a 90s Hercules toy even 🫠

I just love hearing Jimmy’s Alpine Valley concerts. Every time it reminds me of how since I was a kid (like 9 years old) I’d beg my dad to take me to a concert not knowing what an event it is. Finally got to go together to see Jimmy on his last tour and I cherish that memory. Fins up 🦈
