The AU for BG3 isn’t terribly different, just a branching version of Locke’s story set on the sword coast; they were a traveling bard that set out to perform at taverns in the city when. They were snatched by the Nautiloid right as they had gotten to town.

[ 15 - Song ] with @lyricallibra.bsky.social The bard is performing in the market street of Garreg Mach, with a hat upturned for coin as he plays a song they picked up in Enbarr… but only the melody. They compensated the crowd with not knowing the lyrics with a show of dancing lights.

An Agarthan couple traveling above ground became victims of circumstance. The bandits spared the child, who grew up to be a traveling bard wandering the Alliance for songs to sing and stories to tell. They frequent the Mach region, performing tricks and songs in the castle town.

The Changeling Entertainer originated as a DnD character, so this is how they’re generally portrayed. A feytouched changeling, orphaned by bandits and raided by woodelves; Locke is a traveling bard that seeks to aid and inspire, to find adventure and glory, and be the life of the party!
