It's pretty rare that I leak honestly, but I find sometimes it's just about the position and how much you go pee moreso than the diaper being over filled. If staying seated, for Megamax I find for whatever reason it runs upwards to my front and will occasionally leak out from the sides at the top.

Well, if you want to do it; then start small and very safe. Don't force other people to be around you for prolonged periods of time. There's not much to get over the fear, you would just kind of need to do it So, e.g., go to a nature trail and go while walking back to your car, avoid others.
