These designs took a while to put together, given how busy and heavy this summer has been, but we're very proud of them and hope they did your favorite mascot justice. Again: lnpgaceta.threadless.com/collections/...

Triunfragio, the mascot of the Guardacostas de Cataño, is an orca with a white belly, black sides, and curvy blue topside, holding in their viewer-side fin an anchor whose rope they've frayed to breaking and looking quite smug about it.

In this ad, they're placed against a gold background for contrast, with the team's name in a blue sort of Courier-ish, seafood-restaurant-ish font, outlined in black and white and shadowed in more black, split in half: "Guardacostas" follows the curve of the orca's body, while below it, "de Cataño" stands in straight angle.

Zanjabalí, the mascot of the Insolentes de Fajardo, is a sassy steel-gray pig with ("saffron," according to the Insos) orange nose, eyelids, ear . . . borders? tufts? ridges? . . . hooves, tail, and spots along the back, as well as the mane (crest? ridge?) along its back.

For this ad, they're against a green background, with the team name in a big, suitably in-your-face rough font: "Insolentes," in steel gray outlined in saffron, meets "Fajardo," in saffron outlined in black, in perpendicular diagonals; between them is a simple white "de."

Paquidermazo, the mascot of the Martilleros de Vega Alta, is a purple elephant with white tusks, a gold chest punctuated by purple “bowtie” and “buttons,” and gold bands around its wrists and ankles, which end in golden hooves as well. It’s wielding a brown gavel with a gold band around the middle.

For this ad, we've put him on top of a circus-like semicircle banded in red and gold, topped with the word "Martilleros" (Hammermen, or maybe Auctioneers) in a circus font where the top half of each letter is red and the bottom is gold. Below him, in much less descript text, is the rest of the team name: "de Vega Alta." The background, for contrast purposes, is pink.

Aureovina, the mascot of the Santos de Adjuntas, is a white lamb with purple-and-green wings, purple hooves, eyes and snout, and a golden halo with purple and green triangles.

For this ad, they're placed against a dark blue background that surrounds their halo with a magenta cross--and-circle combo. Below its left front foot, the text of its team name—"Santos de Adjuntas"—in green Gothic text outlined in black and then white follows a curve up and to the right.

Its name, "Aureovina," is in a green Old English-style font like the one its team, the Santos de Adjuntas, uses.

Buquebrante, the mascot of the Marineros de Barceloneta (you can see their big gold official-looking "B" on navy at the bottom of the page) is a dark blue seahorse with golden fins, belly, and eye, wearing a white sailor cap with a blue band around the bottom and a white trident tattoo on what would be its shoulder. It's a Water/Dragon type, with moves Hydro Cannon, Liquidation, Surf (all Water) and Dragon Rush (Dragon).

Quick reminder on #MascotBowl rules: • LNP patrons nominated 12 teams: 6 from 🔴 Liga Betances, 6 from 🔵 Liga Hostos. • Seeding was done according to strength of votes: how many patrons put each team 1st, 2nd, etc. • Each round lasts 3 days, run through Strawpoll. Ready for the Parade? So are we!

The initial bracket for Mascot Bowl V. Liga Betances, in red, and Liga Hostos, in blue, each get their half of the bracket; in each one, there's a preliminary round where the #3 and #6 seeds play each other to determine who plays the #1 seed, and the #4 and #5 seeds play each other to determine who plays the #2 seed. Once the Round of Eight contestants are all decided, those four matches are played; then the semifinals determine each league's champion, followed by the final round between the Betances champion and the Hostos one.
