It’s a dreary day in London so let’s liven it up a bit. Let’s see your autumn colours in London photos! Reply here or use the hash tag #AutumnInLondon This was Darlands Nature Reserve yesterday #LondonWildlife
A landscape photo of a field. The trees in the background are turning yellow, with a hint of red. In front of those trees is a long dead tree, its branches reaching out. There is an evergreen next to it, refusing to change colour. In the foreground is a meadow of sorrel, dock and other plants, most of which have gone a russet brown. Autumn is here!

Darlands Nature Reserve in north London had a few visitors today, as well as usual residents - stonechats, goldcrests, ravens, a peregrine with its parakeet breakfast, and this pheasant running across the field :) (Photo by @ankemarsh.bsky.social) #LondonBirds #UKBirding
A photograph of a grassy field with a pheasant in the middle. It has a mainly brown body, very long tail feathers, a blue-green neck and a red head.

Hello Bluesky! We've just joined and are looking forward to meeting likeminded societies and people! The LNHS is a local natural history society concerned with recording the wildlife of London, covering a 20-mile radius from St. Paul's Cathedral. #UKWildlife #LondonWildlife
A lovely male tufted duck photographed at Hampstead Heath in January. It is floating in a greenish pond, and is mainly black with white on the side of his abdomen. His head is black with some purple irridescence, his beak is grey and his eye yellow. He is facing to the right.
