Beta or not, when Apple shows before and afters on their own website, it’s totally fair to knock on them for legibility. I have to wonder: Who at Apple really thinks this example is the best representation? And whoever knows it isn’t the best, why isn’t it addressed *before* the reveal?

I’m not crazy, right? Currently if you drag a .icon file made with Icon Composer onto a folder or app to change the icon, it just shows the ICON FILETYPE instead of the actual icon artwork? Brilliant work, guys.

Womprat is capable of so much. It’s an extremely extensive toolbox of styles and characters. It supports 100 languages, has 400 icons, and 2000 ligatures. It’s as crazy as it sounds. Make cohesive logos without manually selecting from the glyph panel. Just change stylistic sets for different looks!

“Force & Destiny” shows a classic skewed lockup with a hyperspace background.

“Bespin Betrayal” shows a style with Special Edition ligatures, on a spattered red background.

“Millennium Falcon” shows a wild selection of Lubalin-inspired ligatures and Avant Garde-style leaning characters.

"Rendezvous on Jedha” shows a gold, retro appearance on a teal starfield.

The Crown website is very new, and this page is bonkers! Browse samples, view stylistic sets (and hover to see without). Test your own text. Select from 33 OpenType features. Browse and filter the character set. Hold the Option key to change checkboxes into radio buttons. This is practically an app!
