Want to know how an old Alpha Flight book by John Byrne started me working on the story for issue #21 of Lloyd and the Bear and coming up with this panel? Check out my webpage at www.bearritopublishing.com to find out! #makingcomcis #smallpress #indiecomics #allagescomics #scifi

Much like the 'Give a man a fish' proverb, if you fully realise your characters before you start writing there's very little to do. So as I write issue #21 of LatB we're unexpectedly heading back to Beya-2 which was last seen in issue #3! #makingcomics #smallpress #allagescomics #scifi #indiecomics

Been working away on issue #21 of Lloyd and the Bear since coming back from @sequential_scotcc and I'm doing things a bit different this time by colouring panels as I work. Here's the first two from the opening page! #makingcomics #smallpress #allagescomics #indiecomics #scifi

I've been tinkering with an old print and hoping to have this ready for @pridecaf.bsky.social in September! I don't quite know what I want to do for a background but I do know I'm super excited to be at Pridecaf again! #comiccon #bears #bristol #smallpress #pride #indiecomics

Having some fun as I start issue #21 of Lloyd and the Bear with changing the logo. This probably won't be the final design but I assure you it's very much a Lloyd solo story! I'm so looking forward to making this issue! #makingcomics #smallpress #scifi #indiecomics #allagescomics

Now adding the sound effects to issue #4 of Fenton Hud while also proofing it and what'd you know I find I did one random page with all the speech bubbles having curved tails. Like, the ONLY page! Maybe it's been a while since I bought an A4 marker paper but should it really be costing me £10?!? Thinking it's time to invest in a good drawing tablet as I'm pretty much always scanning in my rough ink work and fixing it on the PC.

Gibson @lloydandthebear.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

No, I didn't realise that was a thing you could do or where to even report it! (Dang it)

Gibson @lloydandthebear.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Nice thing to say but is it being adhered to? There was one table selling posters that were clearly screen grabs from different movies and then 'touched up' Was AI involved? Possibly. Was it dodgy as? Definitely.
